Does our sense of smell change as we age? I know it diminishes as we age,

but I'm asking do smells register differently when we're older?

I don't like the smell of wisteria any more. It never was as pleasant as
the smell of honeysuckle, jasmine, or gardenia. But it used to seem, to me, pleasant, and now it seems sort of ....cloying.
