What Are You Fixing for Superbowl Sunday?
I'm headed to a friend's home. They will have chili, booze, and chips.

I'll bring sugar and spice.

Sugar - the orange cake I made Friday night (see "Disaster" thread) and Bear Claws.

Spice: my Mexicali dip (will post recipe in another thread).

3. I'm fixing to wash windows.
Or maybe the kitchen floor. Might sneak a peak at half-time show, since the Stones and I are contemporaries. Must see how much energy they have that I don't.

4. Nothing. I hate football.
I wish I had friends who would make me chilli and chips and sugar and spice, though.
That would be nice. I would pretend to like football if someone would feed me.

5. LOL you wouldn't have to pretend
the best part of a superbowl party is usually in the kitchen anyway :)

6. Would I have to pretend to like cooking too?
That would be hard. Actually, the only thing I do well in the kitchen
is whole wheat bread. I don't mind baking my own bread, but the idea
of planning and actually preparing a whole means reduces me to tears.
Can't do it.

8. It's just me and SO today
Kid is hiding out with her friend. I'll be making Chicken Marsala with lots of Mushrooms. He'll probably have a side of rice or noodles. I'll have asparagas and salad.

9. We are doing soup...hubby was making subtle comments
so now he has broccoli cheddar mushroom potato soup with plenty of croutons....he is in heaven (so am I)

To go with the soup, select your favorite lunchmeat sandwich, plus chips.

Thinking of dessert now...maybe a homemade angel food cake? Recipe surfing might be appropriate on DU goes into the dreaded "down time."
