4. Hey, you got your chocolate in my peanut butter!
Well, you got your peanut butter on my chocolate!

Oh yeah, that's why I never but that stuff. I'd have to move to Brookhaven obesity clinic.

I could actually hurt myself on this stuff.

9. I was going to ask a Nutella question today
Edited on Mon Jan-14-08 07:24 PM by eleny
Do you use it in any recipes besides as a spread?

I got some a while ago and am not too crazy about it plain. But I was thinking it might add some real punch to a cookie recipe or some dessert deal. Have you ever substituted it for an ingredient?

Edit: WHOOPS! I just found a web page with tons of recipes using Nutella! ---> http://www.aaa-recipes.com/nutella/nutella.html

10. I have never tried it in a recipe before. It is a little softer and
thinner than peanut butter, but if you adjusted your liquid and possibly the fat in a recipe, I'll bet it would work. I'm sure that even the mistakes would be edible while you perfected a recipe.

11. There's a recipe for Cinnamon Nutella Cake at that site
I think this is going to be fun. I really do love hazelnuts!

Thanks for the adjustment tip. :hi:

14. The Nutella US site
doesn't have recipes but the Italian site does, if you can translate.

13. Oh, my!
They apparently give away a case a month! Dangerous!

Under FAQ's:

I like to eat Nutella out of the jar with a spoon. Is that OK?
While we agree that the creamy, chocolaty, hazelnut taste of Nutella is
delicious all by itself, we suggest not to "double dip," as it reduces the shelf life of the product.

I can't do too much peanut butter. The omega-6 overload screws with my moods something fierce. I do love it tho and make my own when I have time. It is afterall the world's perfect food.

So you can have my share. Enjoy! :hi:
