Lasagna question
first layer in pan - pasta or meat sauce????

1. I do just a very thin layer of sauce
but it's not a meat sauce. I just spread a tiny bit of sauce on the bottom and then start with a layer of pasta.

I also use glass instead of a metal pan. I've never had to oil the casserole or scrape anything out of it doing it this way.

4. Sauce first. That way the pasta doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.

5. Thin layer of sauce
and lightly oil the pan, unless you have a jackhammer handy to get that first layer of pasta up.

Been there, done that, thank goodness it was a cheap pan because I ended up tossing it because I damaged it trying to get that pasta out of it after soaking it for 3 days.
