Chuao Chocolatier - reviews on eating chocolate
OK, my hubby is a semi chocolate snob (semi my ass...TOTAL snob)

For Xmas, I got him quite a dizzying array of chocolates from all over, some Fleur De Sal caramels, and some other confections.

One of the places I ordered from was Chuao Chocolatier in California. I now have a complete review of what we purchased:

ChocoPod Banana - All the choco pods oiled up and started glowing while we opened the pouch. The Banana pod is a leaf shaped chocolate with a small thin hollow "spine" filled with a banana caramel. Tasty, but not incredibly amazing. Would however purchase again (I liked them far better than hubby)

Choco Pod Modena - strawberry balsamic - not to our taste really...we were the most disappointed by this pod. We had high hopes of amazing and unusual combo that blended well. It was ordinary to our palettes. We may have set this one up to fail. Not a real strong balsamic taste either (barely there, if at all) Will not purchase again.

ChocoPod Candela - spicy macadamia praline - YES...spicy just right, we loved this pod and highly recommend it. Will purchase again. Really good.

Choco Pod Picante - no, this did not work well on the palette. Kind of bitter actually. We love dark chocolate, but that was not part of the bitter. It also claims to have a spicy cabernet caramel...ok...if they say so. Will not purchase again.

So there you have a slight review of Chuao pods. The chocolate started warming with simple eye contact. We were genuinely impress with one of the pod flavors, but a couple were very disappointing.
