Just ordered 2 yrs of Gourmet, for approx. 91 cents an issue, and one year of Bon Appetit for $1 an issue. Since I buy them every month, might as well save some money (2 yrs of Gourmet at newsstand price is $96!! :o )

Sniffa got me the Food and Wine sub. for Xmas.

Now just need Saveur and Cooks Illustrated :D

1. I love Saveur....

They always have interesting little tidbits in it and I've actually cooked quite a few of their recipes. I cancelled Time and Newsweek because I couldn't stomach their groveling to Bush after 2000 or their war cheerleading and subscribed to cooking magazines instead. I've found some fun things in them and it sure is easier on my blood pressure.

2. Saveur is beautiful, I love their photgraphy!

Yeah, I'm an Econ major and a political junkie, I have enough real life, I don't need it in my magazines! :P

3. the latest Saveur is about butter

I was surprised to see that in their top thirty butters from around the world, they named Challenge, a supermarket brand. That will change my shopping habits. I wouldn't have thought it better than Land O Lakes or Tillamook, but I'm not gonna quibble with Saveur.
