Sorry, I couldn't resist. These are the first peas out of our garden this spring. We also ate spinach, mustard greens, leeks, and the first strawberries. My sister, baker extraordinaire, made a shortcake that was to die for. It was a meal fit for a queen!

1. Aw, you suck.
My strawberries are blossoming, but that's about it here in MN where it's been a cold spring. Haven't put anything in the ground yet.

2. Gorgeous!
This is the most hopeful sign I've seen for months. I'm jealous, but I don't hate you (very much!).

5. Yum! I can almost taste them!
This is the first year in many that I'm not having a garden. Will be a good patron of the Farmer's Market! :) And I've already shared that bit of information to all my gardening friends! hint hint :)

6. The really sad thing is that I'm allergic to English peas.
My family loves them, though, and my sister planted these. I helped shell them and I'll pick and freeze them, but can't eat even one tiny little pea and feeling very sorry for myself, esp. when I look at that picture. :-(
