Whole Wheat Waffles
I was searching around for a recipe that I liked and each one I found was a little not quite what I was looking for so I formulated one that I liked and they were very good.

Whole Wheat Waffles


1 c. AP flour
.5 c. Whole Wheat flour
1 T. wheat germ
.5 t. flax
1 t. b. powder
.5 t. kosher salt
1 T sugar
1/3 c. m/l yogurt
1 egg
1 T. oil (I used canola)
milk as needed

BTW, the m/l after the yogurt addition stands for more or less. And the flax is milled. Oh, and I forgot a tsp. of vanilla! Duh!

Can you tell I wrote this down originally just for myself? LOL

Batten down the hatches for the week, babe! It's gonna get bad, bad, bad. :scared:

5. Got the wood stacked on the porch...
The fire is blazing. Mr.sazemisery made cream of broccoli soup and grilled cheese paninis for supper.

Hopefully it will be only cold and not icy. We were amazed this morning to hear that school was closed. Our part of the county got no ice at all. How surprised was I when I got to town and it was covered in ice! Stay warm.
