I didn't plan this at all... but I went to Kitchen Kaboodle this morning to check and see if they had the bodum thermal cups on sale (they didn't), but the did have something else marked down just tooooooo good to pass up... a 7-qt Cuisinart stand mixer for $359. The thing retails for $815, and I picked it up for $359!!!! Almost $500 off their list price.

No, I don't really NEED a new stand mixer but one of my mixers is acting up on my and I've been looking into replacing it - the prices I've seen on used mixers of that brand are $400 and over, and I was THIS close to buying one for $460 a couple weeks ago so the way I look at it, I'm $100 ahead! Can't wait to unpack it and try it out.

1. Wow! Seven quarts!

I hope you really enjoy using it. How do they stack up to the KA, do you think? I'm trying to not let myself get too greedy, but I keep eyeing the KA Professional series. And here I didn't even want one to begin with! It's the bread baking that makes the diff, ya know?

So what ARE you going to make first with that new cookbook and new mixer? Huh, huh, huh? LOL

4. I only have the grain mill.
Probably the only one I'm going to have. (Famous last words. LOL) I may get the ice cream maker when my current one goes kaput. The only thing I really want right now for it is the pouring shield. It'll be awhile before I can justify buying the pro series anyway. Need to start stashing away more savings for stuff like, oh...living.

The KA website says they are having a 25% off rebate deal on selected attachments until Weds. 12/31.

7. The pasta set is pretty cool
Might get the food grinder, sausage maker and ice cream set eventually. That thing is just a total blast.
