Cummin and Ginger and Garlic and Corn Starch and Curry Powder
I made Tacos last night and used all those ingrediants plus chopped potato and chopped tomato. Just some regular ground beef. Tasted great with pico pica and grated cheese...

Did you know curry was not a spice? It's just a combo of stuff used to make gravy...

1. Sounds like a great combination of flavors.
I like mixing up flavors from one region with a technique from another.
But I'm sort of weird.
:)

when I wanted to make a favorite 'curry' dish and ran out of 'curry' powder, I looked on the box and mixed it from the various (rather common) ingredients listed there.

I've learned a lot since. Still, that 'curry' dish is a favorite of kids, esp after Thanksgiving!

3. soooooo...
are we talking curried turkey? that sounds delisch! I used to live in Tokyo and I ate at many a Indian eatery. At that time Curry was ubiquitous, I developed a taste for it that persists to this day.

or turkey curry. Cookbook missing, but used James Beard (NOT fancy book) curry sauce. Includes cut up apple. Always served with plain yogurt and a particular brand of chutney, cross + blackwell's major grey's. NOW I am hungry, and happen to have some leftover chicken in the fridge!

I lived in England for a year, and met curries there too.
