Three hunnert an' thirddy bux at Willie Sonoma .......

A single purpose pommes anna pan. We were in the mall today (we **rarely** go there, but that's where the Mac Store is). They have a Willie Sonoma store on the route back from Panera Bread which is down the way from the Mac Store .......

Even I wouldn't buy one of these. Honesttagawd, a cast iron skillet will do the job fer ten bux.

It was real pretty, though.

1. Single purpose? Surely you jest.
that thing screams out for NYT bread and roast chicken and anything else you'd do in a Dutch oven.

Unfortunately, it doesn't hang, so it wouldn't be keeping company with the display of other copper cookware and that is definitely not in its favor.

You didn't need it anyway, you know. You can walk past it quite easily.

3. Actually, it is too small for much of that.
It really is pretty much a single purpose pan.

I'd rather have a fish poacher if I'm going to do single purpose (which I'm not).

2. Thats 25% of what we paid for our induction cooktop for just one pan
I'm in the cast iron column too :)

4. It's pretty alright...
I wonder if anyone actually would cook potatoes in a pan like that?

It's gorgeous, for sure

5. Pretty copper! Big drawback....
But it has no holes for hooks. You can't hang it! I don't know how I ever survived this kitchen before I installed the pot rack. If all my pots had to go in the cabinets, I'd be seriously short of storage space.

I have no copper pots. But my favorite pot is my All-Clad Dutch Oven.

Mr.sazemisery and I were in WS several years ago and he wanted a dutch oven that was not cast iron. We were both shocked at the price but had some extra cash so we bought it as an anniversary present to each other.

Best pot purchase we ever made. We reach for it for everything. Risotto, No Knead Bread, soups, stews, on and on.

7.  Ouch, no wonder their profits were down 90% last quarter.
It reaches a point that these lovely things are just too pricey.
Most of us have to cut back and the high end stores like W/S are feeling it.

Beautiful pan however, but the old Cast Iron will do now and forever.

See earlier post.
