What's for dinner? ~ Tuesday the 24th
I think our friend is going to be grilling Burgundy Steaks for us tonight.
But things are still a little up in the air.

It's definitely Enchilada leftovers for lunch. Yum.

What's for dinner where you are?

1. I think I can get by with
leftovers again tonight so I can start my corned beef.

2. They are. I'm pretty tired today, so I'm not feeling overly social
but he's a good friend so it's more like family. I can wander back home if I'm not feeling up to it.

We ended up with three extra people for dinner last night, and I was up late testing a sweet dough recipe, AND I got up early. All I wanna do is nap. Which sucks because Bill is picking up both of these from interlibrary loan right NOW:

And I'm gonna be too tired to read them. :)

Edited on Tue Mar-24-09 11:02 AM by hippywife
I finally ordered my Ain5. Should have it in a couple of days.

Hope you get to feeling better and having some energy.

ETA: I jsut requested it from my library. They even had a copy at my nearest branch so the wait won't be long.

6. Y'know what's weird?
The author of the cheese book, Ricki, is the mother of a classmate from elementary school. Small world. I have the book, it's really cool. :)

10. Chicken sausages made with fennel and asiago
I'm starting dinner early. Browning the SAAG brand sausages right now. I'm also caramelizing some fresh fennel with garlic and will mix in some browned assorted sweet peppers.

The sausages will get mixed in with the fennel and peppers and then I'll add a tiny bit of tomato sauce for flavor. Penne pasta with marinara sauce and salad from last night on the side.

Burgundy Steaks sound so good!

19. Big salad with leftover ham, tomatoes, carrots and onions
I made that carrot-ginger Japanese restaurant dressing. It was pretty good, but came out awfully thick.

Also known as the homework assignment that my son was assigned in German class 3 weeks ago and put it off the day before it was due.
He made it, it was delicious.
