Now this sounds kinda interesting.
Pickled grapes with cinnamon and black pepper. What a wild idea! Anyone else ever heard of it?

1. Hmmm.... that sounds interesting

Never heard of it, sounds pretty mediterranean to me, but I visualize it as yum. I'd like to try it. I can't imagine it'd be too hard to whip up (although I'd have to read the recipe).

On edit: I guess the pickling would take some time, wouldn't it?

2. I briefly scanned the article
and she's preggers so that could account for her affection for this very odd recipe. LOL

Not buying grapes at the moment, but when they stop coming from Chile, I just might try this. Adding it to the list, anyway.

3. I think I'm the most taken
with the concept of marinating grapes...

I wonder what you could do with that...

4. I've made a fresh grape Pie
Just load a baked pie crust with fresh grapes and pour some melted grape jelly mixed with Liquor of your choice over them to make them shiney. My daughter calls this grapulating the grapes because they taste so grapy. I bet using marinated grapes in a pie would be wonderful. I'm thinking marinating in some white wine, sugar, cardemom might be wonderful....

6. They look and sound good to me, especially served with cheese, as she mentions.

7. Gotta try these pickles!
Thanks for scouting out something really different for us to try. My mind immediately went to the scuppernongs that grew wild on my brother-in-law's place in N. Carolina. What an interesting heritage recipe that would make.
