Anybody looking for a VitaMix? This might be a great opportunity for one
I bought my VitaMix from the shopping channel QVC last year and it turned out to be a great deal for me - it was their "Today's Special Value" which meant a really great discounted price, free shipping and 5 "Easy Payments" with no interest.

Well, QVC is featuring VitaMix again this Sunday, Aug 28 on 3 different time-slots
12-1 am ET (Sat night-Sun morning)
9am - 10 am ET (Sunday morning)
6pm - 7pm ET (Sunday evening)

I can't guarantee what sort of deal they will be offering the machines for this time. QVC (almost?) always introduces their "Today's Special Value" at the midnight hour, which is the hour they are presenting the VitaMix on Sunday, so I'm pretty sure it will be the "Today's Special Value" on that day, which means it will be a terrific deal, and their EasyPay program with no interest should make it affordable to many who can't afford an outright purchase. And NO SHIPPING charges! is a great savings.

The machines are all new with the full factory warranty (7 years), etc. Last year the recipe book came with it along with an intro DVD.

I've made a number of purchases from QVC over the years and ALWAYS been satisfied with my transactions with them. They are an honorable, customer satisfaction-oriented company.

If you (or someone you know) really wants a VitaMix and just hasn't been able to afford one, this could be a great opportunity for you.

(No, I'm not associated with either VitaMix nor QVC, just a tubie who's so grateful to QVC & VitaMix for offering such a great deal that I was able to get mine last year and thereby to turn around my health and my life).

Let me know if I can answer any questions...

1. I can't recommend the Vita Mix any more highly!
I refuse to live without one! Whole food juicing, banana smoothies, creamy sauces....There is really nothing like it.

I like QVC as well and have never had a problem with ordering from them. My only issue with them is that I'm a pretty easy "mark" and I WANT IT ALL!. So sucker that I am for a sales pitch...I try to stay away from the channel all together.

3. LOL! That's what their great return pollicy is for
so you can easily return stuff that you have second thoughts about!

I go through phases with them but sometimes something catches my eye. I don't know why I went to their online site to check on VitaMixes the other day, but I must say - my timing was good! I've bought a couple laptops from them over the years and a few other things but like you, can't help but respond to their excitement and the opportunity for "a great deal". A time or two I've been disappointed, but I've also learned to discipline myself not to jump too fast... usually!

2. It's really bad timing for me, but thanks for the heads-up
I'd love one, but we have some unexpected expenses right now so the timing sucks. I hadn't thought about looking at QVC when I get ready, so thanks for the info!

4. There may be another opportunity between now and Christmas
at least, if last year's schedule carries through to this year. If you can do payments, they should be in the $75-$90 range (but don't hold me to that!) They carry them on a regular basis but "Today's Special Value" deal only happen a couple times a year.

It would be a wonderful tool for you, think it would help you out a lot.

How are you doing these days?

5. It really would. I'm using an Oster juicer that I have borrowed from a friend
which works well, but you throw away a lot of fiber with that type of juicer. I know really would get a lot of use from a Vitamix.

I've been doing a lot better since I started juicing. Thankie for asking! ♥ I still need pain pills, but I have cut out all the other medicines that we had been trying to use for the joint pain. I have a prescription for Gabapentrin(sp) that I may try next month, but for now, I'm happy going without the extra medicines.

I just had some sort of weird flu thing that was a big setback. I had soo much fatigue that I could barely function, so I started drinking iced tea for the caffeine. BIG mistake. It sent me into another a big pain loop cycle. We don't know if it was from the sugar, the tannins, or both. I'm coming out if that now, but still dealing with a lot of fatigue in addition to the joint pain. But I feel more like me since I dropped the chemo meds and all the other crap. So I'm calling it "good" :)

How be things with you?

6. Here's the deal...
I know you said that you can't do it right now, but QVC sent me an early-bird preview.

Total price of $363.00, 5 installments of $72.60, plus tax if applicable, no shipping/handling charges. Here's the link:
http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.K30741.promo.RD6.cm_scid.mail?cm_ven=APTSV&cm_cat=VITAMIX082611_V1&cm_pla=ACTIVE&cm_ite=HERO1_K30741

Of if it doesn't work for you, check QVC.com for Today's Special Value link

I'm glad to hear that you're off your chemo meds and thrilled to hear that juicing is making a positive difference. Re your joint pain, and given that I know about zero of your condition and trust that you have good doctors who are treating you as well as they can - here's a link to a "home remedies" site that I use from time to time. It's basically anecdotal information that people post about home remedies for conditions that they've tried and whether it works or hasn't worked for them. You may (or may not) find some information there that might be helpful to you.

Fatigue is a tricky one to try to turn around, partly because it by its very nature, you often don't feel up to doing what might help it. It's something I deal with too.

I'm doing pretty well - spent last week back in my home town in Ohio for the funeral of my last living aunt - the last of my parents' generation, my generation is now "'the older generation" OMG!!!! If it hadn't been for a funeral, it would have been a wonderful visit. Still working on using foods to "get better". I've made some good progress over the past 6 months or so, but still have a ways to go. Some days are better than others, but my incidence of lung infection has dropped dramatically little low blood pressure issues. It's all an ongoing process, some improvements, some backsliding. I still credit the VitaMix and blending real foods to most of the improvement. Now if only I could motive myself to getting out walking every day....

Take good care of yourself,

:loveya:
