Wordperfect 12?
I was going to update my resume and VOILA! All of a sudden my WP program is totally new, with options I do not recognize, and the inability to edit my resume properly! I had Windows '98 forever and did not request or download, this update! What do I do? I certainly do not want to re-do my whole resume, cover letter, other important documents.

Thanks in advance.

Jenn

1. Sounds strange
WP 12 was released around may 2004. I can't see them giving it away for free anymore since i think they are pretty much belly up. Sure someone isn't messing with you?

2. If you are unable to restore WP12, you might want to replace it with Open Office
It is a free open source office suite including a word processor that can read/write a variety of common formats. The current version includes a Wordperfect filter that should retain all the usual formatting information. The download is 120MB so if you are on dial-up you may want to order a CD, usually pretty cheap.

3. Thanks to you both
for responding.

No, I do not think anyone is messing with me. I am the only one who uses this computer. It was quite strange to find this happening.

I have gotten a bit of a handle on the program and will continue working with it. I am quite technically challenged so this will take some time. If I don't throw the computer out the window first, due to frustration, I can probably master it.

Again, thanks.
