Question from a Tech.
Had a customer ask me something today that SHOULD be in XP but I don't think it is...

When searching, can you search more than one drive but not ALL of them at one time.
(She triple boots 98...2000 pro and XP pro Drives C..D..E ...F...G), F and G is Storage..
Any way to search, say, drive C and F at the same time ??

I tried a few things but no dice.

1. XP Search leaves a lot to be desired.

I use Agent Ransack. It is freeware and searches can be set up selectively; certain HDD's, USB drives, or folders within same. Also can search for file names, extensions, or text within a file. Lots of other advanced search properties. I've used it for years and it has XP Search beat all to hell.

3. Yes You Can.
In the "Look in" Field, separate your drive letters with a semicolon (C:\; F:\). ...and just a little FYI, this method works all over the place in the Windows world.

4. Another thought is to open two (or more) search windows
Takes more time but probably do-able.
