My laptop won't shut down.

I've tried cont/alt/del. I've tried just hitting the power switch. I've unplugged it, but of course it's on batteries. So here it sits. Any ideas on how to get it to shut off? Or do I just wait for the batteries to die?

1. Have you held down the power button?

Sometimes you have to hold it about 5-10 seconds when they hang.

2. Thanks. I googled & found that & just did it & was coming

back to post.

Now I gotta figure out what the problem is. I know I've got two trojans in there that AVG says it can't heal, can only quarantine. As soon as I get a chance I've got to look into it & see what's going on.
