Norton 2008 no longer supports ad blocking. What to do?
I've used Norton products since 2002. Never had any major problems. I buy a new version in the even year and automatically renew in the odd year.

My previous version was Norton 2006. It has a great ad blocker. It blocked all those annoying banner ads and pop-up ads and animated ads.

Unfortunately Norton 2008 no longer supports ad blocking. If I had known this, I just would have renewed version 2006 again.

So what product do people use to prevent these annoying ads?

Thank you.

1. Firefox...
With the FF extensions "AdBlocker Plus" and "NoScript". Never see an ad again.

3. Ok, I have downloaded Firefox

It is the most current Firefox version, 2.0.0.13

To download AdBlocker Plus, is this the link?
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

and is this the link to download NoScript?
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

Thanks, this is a very helpful forum!

6. Get rid of Norton.
I am surprised to be the first to tell you. There are other programs that work better and are free. You can always donate or buy the delux versions if you really want to spend money but get rid of Norton.
