Need help with Dreamweaver
I've created web pages for years using simple html code. But a friend suggested that I might like Dreamweaver, and my husband found me a sample to try out. The help page is a joke, with topics in no set order, and not titled in terms that make it easy to figure out. So is there a link to a tutorial or something that would take you through making a webpage step by step? Seriously, I had an entire website coded and uploaded before I figured out how to open and start one page.

2. Thanks,
these look like they can help. At least they are in outline form so you can tell what to look at first, second, third, etc.

So far, I'm thinking that it is way too much trouble to use, though I can see using it to teach me the latest tricks in coding.

3. Depending on your version of Dreamweaver
there are a heap of tutorials here for Macromedia MX http://www.intelligentedu.com/free_dreamweaver_training.html

However if it's Dreamweaver CS3 that you have, you are in for the long haul! The changes made after Adobe bought the program can be quite intimidating, and, in my opinion, not all good. There is an Ebook download here:

4. In case you decide againt Dreamweaver....
There's a company called Microsoft, which has a program called Visual Studio, and the Express Web Developer Edition is free.

It's here: http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/.

Lots of people complain about this company. Their little app may not be perfect, but I understand they are trying their best as getting it right.
