Introducing our new puppy Bella
Our standard Aussie, Jake is not amused because he now has a "mini me" in his life. Bella is 10 weeks old and she's a mini Aussie. As of today she is 4 pounds. She is beautiful and sweet. So far no potty accidents and she is sleeping thru the night. Of course that's because we've been letting her sleep in our bed. I know, bad owners but who can resist that little face? (Photos are of hubby holding Bella)

1. Oh, so cute!
Well just keep loving the big one enough and sooner or later she/he will think the little one is their pup!

6. Jake is not amused
He keeps looking at us like our son did when we first brought home his sister from the hospital. Kind of like nice little thing you've got there but take it back now please.

5. Thanks
Bella will probably be 15 to 20lbs. She is currently 4lbs which is on the small side for a mini. I have spent the last several months researching mini aussies. Because we have a standard I was familiar with the breed. I wanted to make sure that I was getting my dog from someone I was comfortable with. I ended falling in love with Bella when she was first born and then waiting until she was 10 weeks old to bring her home. The person I got Bella from is amazing.

10. Hi Bella. You look like a lot of fun to have around!
Awe, take lots of pics, especially while Bella is so small.

12. Good Question
My veterinarian seems to think it will hinder her from being housebroken. Also, that it will spoil her. The reality is that she has had zero accidents in the week since she's gotten here. She whines when she needs to go out. Not to say that she wont have an accident or that she is fully trained, after all she is barely 11 weeks old.

Oh well who knows what to believe. I have three kids and I make mistakes with them all the time. Why should it be any different with a puppy?
