Please send good vibes for my doggie.
P. Ellington was diagnosed w/pheochromcytoma this week. He's been in the hospital since Sunday night. We are considering surgery that will take one of his kidneys. The up until now undetectable tumor is the size of a grapefruit and apparently has invaded the vena cava. The surgeon, however, says he is a good candidate for the surgery and suspects many of his "minor" health problems will just go away if he makes it through surgery.

9. sending good vibes
The surgery sounds very promising. If it's something you feel you can afford, I'd go for it.

Hoping everything works out well for you and your doggie.

12. P Ellington has crossed the rainbow bridge.
He had a wonderful surgeon. Postoperative complications led to circulatory collapse yesterday. He gave it his best shot, but the assault of this invasive tumor was just too much to remain stable postoperative; the surgery itself was totally successful at removal. We loved him dearly and decided to pursue the surgery rather than watch him suffer needlessly or euthanize him before his energy had totally diminished to where he no longer enjoyed a walk or a meal with his family. So, a toast to P. Ellington; may he rest and play in peace and joy with all the hosts of heaven. Surely, there's a place of joy for such a loyal and loving companion.
