Here' an intro to KiKi, our Halloween Kitteh!

(this is as close to a pic of her that I have, i still can't find my charging cord for my camera, so I'll post more soon!)

I got paid yesterday and the first thing I did was go to the shelter and get my kitten!
Kiki is 2 mos old... was found in a car engine at 1 mo old and has been in the shelter her whole life...Imagine, her first time in a house was yesterday!

She is a spaz, as all kittens are, and she loves to purr and cuddle and play ...ya, especially at 3am! (Witchy cat!)
one of the most interesting things I have noted so far is that she "head buts" when she is loving you, she bumps you with her face ...which of course is endearing to this old cappy hehe...

so the saga of lost kitteh has a happy ending/beginning so far... I'll keep you all posted as my little familiar comes into her own ;)

3. ya, she already looks healthier today

It is amazing what a lot of love can do! She has some dry patches of skin that I think were from being in a cage and possibly remnants of flea treatment...so I wiped her down with a damp cloth to get the powder off her, and put some almond oil on the patches. She has been drinking LOTS of water, poor baby was probably dehydrated. She was in a cage with 2 other youngish cats, and they were all supposedly treated for worms and fleas, etc( that Frontline crap)... now she gets a nice HOLISTIC home, thank goddess

when she spazes out and bolts she is SOOOOO fast! we nicknamed her "black lightning"
I have only ever had tiger cats, so this is fun.

Our older cat, Shakti, is in the "I hate you all" mode... she will get over it soon I hope, meanwhile I am going to have to make sure she doesn;t try and get the little one.... (after Atreyu vanished, she got us all back and was so loving...now she's pissed all over again! poor baby)

10. She is so adorable...

I know that you will have a blast with Kiki. She reminds me of my dearly departed cat, Doodle, who was a tiny little black cat who resembles Kiki. I know she will never replace Atreyu, but she will be a force in her own right and will thrive with good food and lots of love.

They get big and turn into cats petty quick, however...

I'm like you--I love cats that head butt when they are loving on me. One thing I DO teach my cats, however, is to pat me with a paw when they want to be petted. It can get kind of funny to see me petting the cat while the cat is petting me--but it is one way to teach them how to interact with us when (or if) they choose to.
