I got exiled to the 9/11 forum on this one.
I really thought of bringing it here first. So please believe me, I wasn't lying.

2. There are people who poo poo Morgellan's disease too
What you say may or may not have been chemtrail activity. But I think people are just being dumb if they trust everyone in our government. We, the people, have been the victims of experimentation too many times.

BTW, Kaiser foundation is doing a study on Morgellan's. There have been traces for a fungus that is used in gene tranfer found in the fibers that erupt from the sores on people's skin.

13. Considering what they have done in the past, like
letting men with syphilis die instead of treating them so they could use them as guinea pigs comes to mind.

15. Indeed, there were a few whistleblowers
about the Tuskegee experiment. If the powers that be can nullify for over 40years an actual ongoing experiment on human beings in which government doctors felt absolutely no ethical violations, chemtrails must be small potatoes to them. Just send out their attack dogs and surely there are always enough closed-minded people around ready to intimidate.

16. Wow--I was just thinking about Morgellan's yesterday
Psychic! ;) I was fascinated by the reports of the disease. Are people still coming down with it? I haven't heard much lately.

Weren't people who said they had that accused of being psychologically unstable? (Gee, that's kind of how some DUers treat people who say something out of the ordinary. :eyes:)

About a year and a half ago I had a hair follicle near my wrist that started producing a really unusual, thick, wiry fiber over and over and over (I kept plucking it out)--completely different from even the "old lady chin hairs" that are thicker than regular body hairs. I was in a dead panic! Eventually it went away. I never did figure out what the heck it was, but it freaked me out. :scared:

22. Joni Mitchell has Morgellan's
and one of the Oakland As along with his whole family has it.

Kaiser is now doing a study on it. There's a large group of people in California who have it. The may be some possibility of relationship to GMOs.

One researcher found a particular fungal marker in some of the fibers that came out of someone who has the disease. It's a fungus that is used in inserting parts of one thing into something else.

4. I find that reflexive jeering used to shut down testimony really hard to take.
Sometimes it's sincere disbelief, but sometimes it's a calculated attempt to shut down discussion, and it's impossible to tell the two apart. I remember the Bush admin officials using the "conspiracy theory" phrase to try to shut down initial discussion of either Plame or the wiretap accusations (I can't remember which) but the accusations eventually broke through the defense and stuck. With anything that's less easily confirmed, they're so pernicious, and destroy all discussion.

I'm really sorry you had to undergo that, Cleita. Advocates of that kind of jeering will throw anybody under the bus. They only see themselves as reliable witnesses, and keep their own constructive notions private to avoid the behavior that they themselves use on others.

At least, that's how I see it.

5. No, you weren't lying, Cleita
I've witnessed chemtrail activity once in my life, and it was horrifyingly atypical of ANY vapor trail activity normally seen in the sky.

You're right--chemtrails do not dissipate; they drip. ENTIRELY different activity. The chemtrails I saw were laid out in a grid pattern--also not something that regular contrails do (ever see a series of planes cris-cross the sky so tightly, and so precisely? no). And as someone noted in your thread that got banished to the dungeon, a perfectly blue sky clouds up immediately after the grid is completed.

There has been research into this and yes, it has been ignored. But you'll never convince the heads-in-the-sand naysayers who bray loudly simply to squelch even passing curiosity about a topic. Shouting "NONSENSE!!!!" vehemently, and then attacking the poster's mental capacity, is a classic disruption/diversion tactic. Don't let it get to you, because they'll never stop; it's like breathing to them.

7. You have seen them too!
Yes, and they were in a sort of grid. Wind just doesn't blow tubular clouds into a grid.

17. For folks who are curious, chemtrails vs. contrails
These are chemtrails (not my photo--I was driving to work without a camera when I saw the ones I mentioned):

These are contrails:

What's suspect about chemtrails is that they all remain at about the same level of dissipation. In other words, if they were contrails, it would have been...one trail from one plane, spreading far out, almost gone...then another trail from a different plate at a later time, dissipating, but not as spread out as the first...then another from another plane that flew by more recently, with a contrail much more concentrated (newer). They wouldn't all be the same consistency. If that makes sense.

More info (phrased better):

2) Chemtrails persist for many hours and spread out continuously until wide areas of the sky are covered. Contrails spread out only slightly and evaporate within 10 seconds to several hours, depending on the upper air humidity and temperature. Contrails can persist under exceptional circumstances, so this is not a definitive criteria.

3) Contrails are always pure white and don’t exhibit much halo effect. Chemtrails have an oily glint to them, with pronounced rainbow-like color effects (reddish or pinkish tint) as the sun shines through. Some of the best photographic evidence of chemtrails is found at http://www.carnicom.com/contrails.htm.

4) Contrails are composed of water vapor combined with a small amount of residue from burned jet fuel. Analysis of chemtrail residues, in contrast, claims to have uncovered a variety of chemicals and other substances, including barium, aluminum oxide, microscopic fibers and oil-based products, none of which are intrinsic to normal jet fuel.

10. I agree KOB!
Especially when one of the nastiest posters had the AUDACITY to get even nastier with H20 Man on one of his posts last week! It was one of his most recent journals, and I soooooooo hoped that this one would get his ass TSnd!!! I wrote on that post stating my hopes!! I wrote about this very thing here on our forum, about seeing the very same thing Cleita described. I too have witnessed this phenomenon. I live a very heavily traveled air corridor, and basically see flights going west from both Bradley and Logan.( and vise versa) I wish I had the means of taking photos, but I don't at the time. My daughter is supposed to be getting me a digital cam soon...then I will!

11. I have seen what you describe in the Central Valley too.
The level of ridicule for simply asking the question/making the observation is really astounding.

Some of those replies are from people who are here only to vilify any questioning of status quo, which is right-wing SOP.

I guess the guy who always jumps in to say there's nothing wrong with HFCS is now branching out to ridicule people who ask questions about other things. I don't do ignore, but if I did...

Anyway, what is up with the dripping?

12. If you have seen crop dusting in the Valley, although it's
done at a much lower altitude, it drips as it settles on the fields. Since these "tubes" were very high, I would guess as high sky writing airplanes, that caught my attention. They didn't disperse but dripped. Maybe an example would be like fireworks that drip down after they are exploded.

18. Sorry about the nasty people.
I've been railroaded many times. The level of rudeness displayed always makes me draw the conclusion that there are people planted on this board with the specific duty of being a disruptor. Shall I say it, Paid shills? Not sure of the spelling, but you know what I mean!

In the end, I just have pity for these folks, the ones that naysay alternative therapies especially.

Anything that smacks of woo woo, draws the rudest of responses. Can't these people disagree without being disagreeable?

20. no, they can't
It's something more than that. I will try to post an article explaining it for you or send it to you via a PM.

I'm trying to remember the gist of the article but it's about new ideas and how they are accepted. There are some people to whom they are anathema and they feel compelled to disdain them when they are introduced. Interestingly enough, the people who have this filter problem with their mind fall by the wayside as the ideas they oppose find more of a following. It's kind of like behavior that makes one antiquated and useless. The thing is, though, that it takes place over such a long period of time that we don't really notice that they have become antiquated and useless.

This article is written from the context of new ideas being introduced in academia but it could apply to new ideas being introduced in general.

BTW, Cleita, I just want to say I'm sorry you had such an unpleasant experience. There really are some jerks here at DU. This type of behavior is explained very well through this article and it has helped me understand why they behave the way they do. That's why I want you to have it.

Cher
