I got a job...kind of
My buddy at the Temp agency called me out of the blue today, as I was trying not to weep over the jobsearch situation...(Everything is either in reno or sacramento and the idea of moving makes me cringe for MANY reasons)

There's a gig starting next friday and lasting for 2 weeks, traveling around all of lake tahoe doing transportation surveys for the regional planning agency... $10 an hour, about 50 hours total, and If i show up every day i get a bonus! (whew, just in time for back to school)

the second one he is submitting me for is a PT admin gig with the refuse co, if they choose to perm hire, it goes to full time...and that's like 4 blocks from my house! (oh...and i am longtime friends with the ofc manager, went to college up here together and hung out when our older kids were little) ;)

while it isn't 'ideal' it could work for us for now...that's what counts. and the money would be *just* enough to help us out, but not bump me off all assistance all at once...even better.

cros your fingers that it could be THIS easy!

(oh, and regarding my depression/partying issues for the past month...just ran out of pot 2 days ago and stopped drinking too. maybe it is time to be grateful for clarity of thought...ya think?)

1. Congratulations and Good Vibes Being Sent Your Way
I don't think the pot was clouding your thoughts, more likely the alcohol was more responsible for that, don't ya think. I've always had good thoughts when I had Cannabis available. Alcohol not so much.

3. I totally agree
what sux is that they 'test' for one & not the other...so if i wanna party, i gotta drink for now. once i land the permanent position, i can relax with my dubage :smoke: ;)

5. Hope it all works out for you.
Agree w/MajikMuffin, probably the alcohol, not the pot, that messes w/you. You've waited a long time to have something work out nicely in the job arena, perhaps your ship has finally come in. :hug: :toast:

10. Excellent news
Even a job you don't really love will not stop you from becoming who you are.

For now, it will keep the hearthfire burning. Accept what you need from this gift and then let it go when you no longer need it.

12. May the greatest good be yours!
And stop stuffing feelings...and yes, I have to pay attention to that advice as well...they're all coming up and out, if you sit with it and don't grab on and feed them energy. Peace!

13. Rick is RIGHT! ;)
If i release the resistance, everything falls into place and the messages from the universe are only getting clearer...

HUGE steps, like the past month or so of resistance was just me letting it all come OUT, even knowing while i was behiving recklessly or indulging in destructive behaviors, that THIS TO SHALL PASS. I watched myself, knowing i was saying 'fuckit' and putting on my blinders...also knowing that sooner or later my spirit was going to yank them off and toss them aside...and i would be forced to see my reality. AND, that my reality really isn't so bad....
~~~~
check this out: on a personal note, i have had a crush on an old friend from college that i reconnected with in my meditation class. Dan is a yoga teacher, vegetarian, highly evolved... and really sweet. He'd flirt with me in Unity services all through spring, and ironically moved in a block away about the same time summer started...
then he got a new job and basically fell of the face of the earth. so I felt weird trying to connect when it obviously wasn;t happening... oh, and we are both capricorns, so i am sure we have both been mirroring the same struggle thatt past couple months, so it's interesting we have both been reclusive while dealing with the 'stuff'
(meanwhile the unhealthy guy from last summer has been sniffing around my skirts again, and under the guise of me being a good friend, he's been telling me all about his other women issues and wanting me to make him feel better...he blatantly told me that if I come out to party tonight i would be free to seduce him and he would be willing... ugh...instant gratification, but not good for me at all)
so this morning i got a wild hair to stop by Dan's work and say hi ...which i haven't done in about a month cus i thought he 'didn't like me like that'... and he was thrilled to see me, hugs and kisses on the cheek right in front of customers and coworkers! He invited me to his yoga class on the beach tomorrow morning, and it's like we never lapsed.
:sigh: Just that kiss on the cheek is enough to make my whole week!
so i have my answer, don't I?
Not going out to get laid and party tonight, going to bed early for Yoga tomorrow on the beach ! yay!
I feel so wonderful right now....! Golden sunlight, laying on the grass next to the Lake with the geese all around us, blue sky for a ceiling and the sound of the water and, of course...his gentle voice ahhhh ;)
I am sprung, got a crush and it's mutual! yipee
he thanked me many times for coming this morning, there were several people there, and he still walked to the car with me ane we hugged and kissed on the cheek several times. I asked when he got off work, and he wasn't sure...i reminded him i was right around the corner and to come have a cup of tea before bed ... he said, aww you're so sweet... and maybe we'll see eachother at the Unity tomorrow...
:loveya: nice & slow and with integrity...just what i chose to manifest!
