~ October 2010 ~ Visionary, Intuition & Dreaming thread
Here we stand on the brink of the Shadowlands...the veils ever-thinning
Will this month bring us closer to seeing what lies beyond?

As the darkness draws nearer, the sun sets sooner, the leaves fall faster...even the scent of snow hangs in the air
the raven swoops close and calls in a clear and haunting tone
"SEEK your VISIONS! Look into & beyond the veil!"

the Opal is the stone of this month, and it has all the qualities of the evershifting mists that hold outr visions & illusions

Folklore, Legend, Healing Properties of Opal:

A gem of psychic awareness- and of the moon and water- it can increase everything we feel as well as helping the assimilation of emotion. It is like a full moon that draws hidden emotions to the surface. A strong healing stone, said to enhance intuition, to aid in prophesy and divination, help with eyesight, and bring relaxation, to the point of total peace, this stone can be used to put the wearer in touch with his or her higher self. The Opal is a stone defying description, as it contains fire sparks, delicate colours and a full spectrum of colour- varying from translucent cream to fiery black and blue with rainbow reflections. Formed from the skeletons of tiny shells and animals, Opals are very porous and are at least thirty percent water. To the Greeks and Romans, the Opal was thought to give direction if held between the eyes and was known as the ’stone of vision’ or ‘gem of hope’.
~~~~
May our visions bring us hope this month, and may the darknights bring us closer to our hearth and warm our hearts.
we need it!
oh...and HAPPY SAMHAIN!!!!!!!!!
1. Been having a lot of insight lately as to who will die soon
This is creepy for me. I had numerous instances of this when I was growing up, but not so much in recent years. Since the energy has gotten so high, I know that when I start thinking of someone from the past, suddenly I have knowledge that they are going to pass very soon. This has happened 4 times in the past two years and that person has passed over within days or weeks.
2. I have been having very strong memories of times in my
own past. I can see, hear and even remember the way things smelled from times in my life that I have not thought about for years. I was recalling, out of nowhere, my first job. I lied about my age and got a job as a fifteen year old carhop. I remember the early rock, the classic cars, the smell of the malts and hamburgers. I even had a boyfriend straight out of "Grease."
Maybe I am just feeling my age. But I am wondering more and more about the people I encountered then. I wonder how they lived their lives.
4. Ahhh, another possible member of our Extremely Vivid Memory Club.
This first began happening to me in 2007. Now I find that whenever I want to remember something, even something that happened a long time ago, the memory is really detailed. It's kinda spooky actually. One other poster here has also been having this experience the last few years, but for privacy's sake I won't give the screenname. At first, I thought it was just a random development for your's truly, now I'm wondering if it's a thing with our group.
9. I have that periodically too!
Memories from the distant past are filled with detail.
I remember in about 1994 hearing an author being interviewed on the radio about getting older, and they were asking him about memory ... wait for it ... and he said that rather than becoming more fuzzy, his early memories were becoming clearer. He was a materialist sort, so he was speculating that the length of his life had provided him with enough "generic" smells, sights, sounds, etc. that it was just filling in the gaps.
But I'm not so sure. To me, these vivid early memories conjure up a felt sympathy with the idea that time is an illusion.
11. I'm having them....more and more frequently.
Very vivid personal memories. An especially large number of those who have passed over. Both friends and family. Vivid memories of my teen years too. I was under the impression that this was a natural experience with aging??? "Precious Memories...how they linger...how they linger in my soul. In the stillness....of the midnight, Precious Memories unfold" Love that old hymn!!
16. I do that too
Wonder about past connections......weird encounters that I had with people back in high school, decades ago. Oddly enough, I have no desire to go to my high school reunion this year. We had a huge class, almost 500 people, and I didn't recognize most of the people even twenty years ago.
I do think it has something to do with our age. :rofl:
And smells are very powerful, and access a more primordial part of the brain, bring up a lot of emotions, etc.
3. Hey! How'd you get a picture of my kitteh familiar?
:rofl:
Oh wait--Jasmine has a touch of white on her front. Other than that, dat's mah kitteh!
Great images, FL. Thanks! With this and our trip to the pumpkin patch on Saturday, I am now DEFINITELY in a Samhain mood!
And I looooooves opals. I think they get a bad rap--all that "bad luck" stuff. Humph. In fact, I think I'll wear my opal bracelet today just to honor my favorite month.
Nothing to report yet, but we did get our first thinning-of-the-veil visit this morning, which made us late for school! I posted it here on Cleita's thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=245&topic_id=125121&mesg_id=125157
7. well! my psyche has been busy!
i posted earlier today that i was just too bummed to even try to jobsearch...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x9252488
and then this:
....so it's thunderstorming and cold and so i crawled back under the covers to hide from reality for a while...
and my dreams were all about the futility of it all!
I was back in the east bay, trying to get to a job interview in Berkeley and then get to school in Hayward... my car was lost in montclair (the oakland hills) for some reason...and i was trying to get there on foot, till my arthritis made it impossible to walk and then i was in a weird wheelchair, pushing pushingpushing...
stopping in places that were full of people young & old, trying to help find things that weren't there, getting a call from a friend and offering to pick him up on my way back, when i can't even find my car, ending up asking someone to give me a ride and them not speaking the language, and finally getting to the Chabot College campus, only to realize i haven't gone there in 20 years and i missed the test i was supposed to take...
maybe it's telling me something...maybe my life really *is* an exercise in futility
~~~~
interesting that there was no escape, my psyche was gnawing away at that bone no matter what....

8. OMG FL you just reminded me of a dream I had last night
Same theme! Mine was brief: I wanted some shelves. (Heck, I ALWAYS want more shelves. ;) ) I got all uppity and decided that instead of waiting for them to be built or procured for me, I was going to take matters into my own hands. So I went to a store and bought a kit to build them myself. I'm pretty handy with a hammer and screwdriver, after all.

Brought it home, slid the pieces out of the box...and realized that the shelves were pathetically tiny! I mean, not even a foot wide! The whole thing, put together, would have made a nice thing to hang on the wall to display a salt-and-pepper-shaker collection. Or a thimble collection. x( I was SO pissed off! And I remember getting the feeling of futility in there with my frustration. Kind of an "oh fuck it why bother" sort of vibe.

10. hoping this is not a prophetic dream...
a few nights ago I was having some wild weird dreams which segued into me watching a program listing celebrities who have died in the past year. The one I remember is Marie Osmond. There was another person on who was on Dancing with the Stars recently as I remember saying to someone there with me that it was especially shocking as they both got fitter from being on the show. I can't remember the other person's name in the dream only that it was a man who was on WwtS.

it freaked me out a little wondering if this isn't my usual dream weirdness so it's taken me days to get up the nerve to post this :hides:

I dreamed that Betty White died the other day! I was startled awake from a nap on the couch by a woman's voice announcing in my ear so loud and clesar that "Betty WHite has died today at age 88" I sat straight up and turned the news channel on, but .....nothing but crickets??? Don't know where that came from but I thought it was very weird. I think it happened on Sat. of last weekend!!

I think you posted something about it (maybe on fb) but I went looking for the news story online and was perplexed i couldn't find it! but I am glad that so far it isn't true!

@ shallah...that would be a horrible thing if someone got in better shape and then passed, but it may just go to show us that we have little control over when it's our time...that sucks!

I think these people symbolize a certain feminine aspect that we may see 'dying off'... maybe the sweet, nice, wholesome woman in us all has to step back a little now. It's time for the strong amazon, the pioneer type... :shrug: that's the 'hit' i got anyway.

14. Maybe not Betty but someone who is associated with her.
It happens to me a lot. Also, it may be a reverse dream, like Betty may be announcing her new marriage at the age of 88. Prophetic dreams are often not about the literal dream but something that will happen that the dream is pointing to. I know it's maddening trying to sort it out.

Let me know if you'd like to try it tonight. Or pm me if you have any questions

25. Voice awakes me from my dream two nights ago.
I was dreaming I was in some sort of building, like offices, with metal elevator-like doors that close from above. Brown, white, silver are the colors I remember in there. I'm able to function in there, but I'm also suffocating - I can only sort-of breathe the air while I'm somehow helping the people in there. I keep seeing the doors shutting and opening by themselves. I check myself and realize I'm having trouble breathing, and get a little panicked about being stuck in there. Then I calm down, and remind myself that I don't actually have to be in there. I can breathe fine outside, I came inside voluntarily.

Then I was suddenly awoken by a very "lifelike" voice speaking my name, just once, very clearly. Really awoken to this world, not awakening in the dream. It was no voice that I know, but it had some specific characteristics, that is, it was a personalized voice. The voice was so clear that I looked around, but no-one was there (I live alone). My physical circumstances, my upper body partially out of the covers in a cold room, were ones where I can get a nightmare.

Anything ring a bell with anybody? I haven't had the voice-calling-my-name thing for years, and when I had it decades ago it was always (as I remember it) when falling asleep.

27. It's been happening to me
I only had the name thing once and it happened just as I was waking up one Sunday morning about four years ago.
Several times this year I woke up hearing someone talking to me. A lot of them were like snatches of conversation, as though this being and I had been talking. I don't know what else to think but that a guide is speaking to me.

I really would like to know if other people are experiencing this.

28. I guess I wish there were more content.
Strange to think that the content of the dream, waking consciousness, and the reality of the voice behave as 3 differentiable things. It would be easier for my poor brain if the voice was somehow part of the dream, I wouldn't have to try and reconcile 3 realities going on at once.

part of it has to do with the lucid dream, you were probably outside your body watching yourself dream and woke yourself up so it wouldn't get too much creepier... :shrug:

either that or there is a guide who wants to get your attention... you could ask tonight before bed, just make sure you call in some protection before sleeping too...lots of little beasties on the planet trying to get to us light beings...

31. Well, how do you call in protection?
My problem with ritual, which I actually love, is that in my normal walking-around consciousness I can keep my balance, but when I start to think in ritual and magic I become all literal, paranoid, and anxious. I'm just saying that about myself, not about the practice as a practice. I obsess about the correct wording, and act like a guy I knew once who was a security officer for an American embassy - obsessed about possible attacks. In other words, I usually don't even try to invoke anything, for fear I'll leave myself too open.

Any further advice?

I'm not sure it was a lucid dream, I've had a few of those experiences, and this was more like two dream realities that I could be in.

32. here's some basic stuff i've learned over the years
Edited on Fri Oct-08-10 11:00 PM by FirstLight
ritual means nothing. it is all about what reminds your spirit/higher self/intuitive self that it is already there.

simple grounding... imagine like a ziplline harness wrapped around your lower abdomen, with a cord that drops like a tail. your lower 3 energy centers are almost completely closed, think of a dial on a clock or a stove and turn them down to LO o.r 5% or something like that
the cord-tail drops into the earth and wraps around the core,( like roots of a tree, like a rock climbers rope clicking into the notch, like a big vacuum with a golf ball stuck in the end.)

feel the anchoring of your grounding cord - then widen it to the width of your hips - hollow it out and throw a fireball, and exploding rose, a gold ray of light down the cord to make sure it's open to let go of your negative stuff.
mother earth is able to transmute it easily into energy, so don;t feel bad about dumping crud down that cord
once you are 'there' think of something simple and easy to remind you of it...a flower, a diagram, just a quick picture. Abnytime from now on when you need to 'ground' you can call on that picture and take a few breaths and get there...

protection is much the same, ground first and then think of a bubble around your body, don;t forget below your feet too!
how does it look? is it spotty? take some windex and wipe it clean is it torn? run your hand over it and see it smooth again. notice the color, wheere you may be 'dented', etc...
put a color on the outer shell of your 'egg' that will work to keep you safe and only attract & allow positive people/beings nuear your space, but not IN it. put another color INside your space to make you feel safe and maybe offer healing etc
Do the same thing with a symbol once you feel like you are 'there'

it gets easier with practice and there are still times i can;t 'feel' my cord...but the belief that i know i am already protected and my spirit knows how to ground me, makes it more accessible as well...
your way of grounding may shift over time, as will your symbols

36. A totem visitation...
Edited on Mon Oct-11-10 09:47 PM by FirstLight
Mama Bear and her new baby showed up today.
There is a large-ish apple tree across the street in the front yard, and they often come by in the fall to load up before hibernating.
Last year she had two older juveniles, so i wondered if we would see them this year or what

Got home from the store and was unpacking the back of the car and was looking around
Ironically, I was *just* thinking about the apples, asking myself where they were, when the tree shook and I realized they were already HERE!

I am always amazed at how agile they are for such huge creatures. Mama was at least 250-300lbs and she was right up in those branches, no problem. Baby continued to chow down and she got down and snarfled up the ones off the ground, then baby got down and they helped themselves to the garbage can for dessert...all this unfolding right across the street!
They are black bears, but she was a beautiful golden and cinnamon...very fluffy, not scrappy like some of the ones you see.
I actually stood on my lawn and tried to get some pics, and talked to her
...she couldn't have cared less, lol ...just went on about her business...but it was nice that she was so docile, not agressive in the slightest.
Pretty, awwww!

so i have some big momma bear energy coming in, eh?

40. here's a TOTEM question.......Please chime in!
do you believe people can 'send' their totems into another's space or life...for reasons like checking up on them, letting the person being visited know they are 'thought of' or whatnot...?

the guy i am getting close to (not really dating per se, but gettin there ;) )
is very into animals and spirit, and talks with spirit daily, like me...so the meanings of little happenings are definitely noticed by both of us...he 'gets it' on many levels. i like the medicine man in him or i wouldn;t be pursuing it, right?
sooooo...
I have been seeing coyote on our street a couple times, often just stopping in front of my house, looking at me, and then dashing off back to the meadow...almost daily for the past week

also, been having some interesting spider encounters in my home, where they come out and just watch me, sitting in a very obvious place, until i tell them to move. The first one sat on a table and watched me cleaning house for almost 20 minutes till i shooed him into the cracks because he was creeping me out. the second one was on my wall and dissapeared behind my dresser, i thought it was funny that (his totem) had 'finally made it into my bedroom' lol...then 2 hours later the SAME spider (not a common brown, a differen looking one than i had ever seen) was sitting *right* on the end of my bed, not rumming or anything, he just watched me and sat there...until i scooped him up and put him out the window.
Spider is this guys first-order totem...and funny, it should be something i embrace as a writer, but they scare me.
and now i am being 'watched' by them....? :scared:

Just wondering how you guys see this ...? am i nuts?

38. I finally got to tell my mother how I felt about moving
those many years ago. My father was transferred to Atlanta from Cleveland while I was still in elementary school. My mom loved the house and the neighborhood was near-perfect, as if out of a book. I walked to school regularly with the very cute girl that lived 'round the corner, kinda like the "girl next door" but for real. My dad worked for IBM (alt. meaning: I'm Being Moved) and all of that came to an end when we moved away. I told her that, "Had we not moved, I would have gone to Case Western, married Christine, and lived happily ever after--The End."

Now would all that would have come to pass if we hadn't moved? Maybe, maybe not, but I'll never know. How much of that has affected me to the present? Good question; I'm sure that some of it has. This much I do know, I finally said it out loud to my mother. Will it change anything? If so, hopefully for the better. :)

Faulkner was right, the past isn't really past. :hi:

Have you ever read Richard Bach? In the book 'One' he describes a world full of hidden threads of potential splitting from moments in our lives...so your words could have just opened the door for your alternate self to make that beautiful reality come true!

very cool :hugs:

39. Some possibly not so great stuff came through last night/early morning.
Edited on Thu Oct-14-10 04:51 PM by BlueIris
10/13 and 14, time(s) around 6 p.m. and at 6 a.m. Tools used: intuition, moonstone.

Last night--intuitive flashes of the influenza outbreak of 1918. Images of overcrowded hospitals, mass graves.

Early this morning, while I was still trying to fall asleep, images of massive tent cities. Don't know the location or their use, but my sense was: quarantine tents. On the bright side, they had a peaceful quality about them.

Also, now that I'm typing this, I realize that I've been staring at the 'flu shots available here' sign at my grocery store whenever I go in. Normally, I skip the flu shot, because I haven't had the flu since...middle school? This year I might get one.

41. Maybe you tuned into an epidemic in some other part
of the world other than the USA where they didn't get flu shots. Also, it seems Spirit is urging you to do so. I haven't had one for four years, but I got one this year. It was almost as I was being shoved to do it.

43. don;t do it....
If we are going to have an outbreak, i think it may be because the flu vaccines are going to go horribly wrong.

this year ALL the vaccines coming from the CDC have H1N1, there is no alternative. it is so new they have only cultivated it a year and they are willing to inject the general population ... :scared:
AND in the SCHOOLS they are offering the flumist nasal option (which millions of kids will opt for, because it is not a shot) this is LIVE virus, that exists on a syrface for up to 4 days... so even if my kids don;t get it, the kid next to them is gonna sneeze and slime them with live virus? NO fucking way.
I am keeping the kids home that whole week, told the teachers and the school dist what i think of the policy.
we are drinking sambucol (Elderberry, anti-viral) as a immune booster and hoping for the best this winter...

and i take immuno-suppressants because of my arthritis, so i am *supposed* to get the shot as well, but this one (the H1N1 new strain) has sulfur in it and i can't take it...oh well...there is a reason for everything i think.

co-operation is the standard, versus competition, which will diminish upon Earth as the years pass.

46. Thank you FWWM
This point cannot be emphasised enough. We've been conditioned to be competitive, but this will not help us out with the new energies. Holding that third density energy of competitiveness, jealousy, avarice is only going to prolong the new energies from anchoring here. It permeates our entire society, even in the very ones of us who are trying to anchor the light (I admit to also having those green-eyed-monster moments). I believe we are called to work on releasing that old energy, because even if it feels natural it isn't our natural state. It is a learned attitude and behavior. Life is not a competition. If someone does well, it is not going to prevent another from doing well (as we've been conditioned to believe). The Universe is vast and unlimited, and there is more than enough for everyone. It is our job -- our duty -- to encourage and rejoice when one of our brothers or sisters does well.

Thanks for letting me speak.

52. Thanks Kookaburra, that's so true.
"If someone does well, it is not going to prevent another from doing well (as we've been conditioned to believe)."

I wish you could tell that to those who find injury with each and every success I have.

Wait, we just did.

The old hardcore punks, early 80s, had a modicum which sounds quite similar to what you have said. Pardon the bluntness: "You don't have to fuck over people to survive." Punk was not exactly what most imagine. It was a rejection of the Machine, which at the time was headed by Reagan and his lackies. Fine ground to grow rebellion!

I can't wait for the days when no one would believe the way we've had to live!!! :hi:

49. 1. What would you do if you could do anything at all, and money was not an issue?
That is what you should look into, or better yet, start doing regardless.

2. Is this search giving you some small amount of panic and worthiness trouble? Is that really worth it? You are better than to have to be "there".

and worthiness? who, me? :hide: I have been 'out of the market' for over 2 years and feel like i have lost my edge in lots of ways... i miss making a difference in even a small way, and my one client is challenging, but not concerned about deadlines or details, so i get to just slack off and breeze along..

at leats I think i am slacking...i'm sure that's probably not the case.
even my worker says it is obvious i am out there shaking the bushes for jobs...

I'm just trying no to lose faith in a time when we are losing that old paradigm and i haven;t figured out the new one yet.

53. Okay, did another meditation on the midterms last night:
Edited on Fri Oct-22-10 01:41 PM by BlueIris
Well, early this morning.

Time: 3:30 a.m. Tools used: pendulum, intuition.

Q: Who will have the Senate seat currently occupied by Barbara Boxer in March of 2011?

A: Boxer

Q: Who will have the Senate seat currently occupied by Harry Reid in March of 2011?

A: Reid

Q: Which will be the majority party in the U.S. House of Representatives in March of 2011?

A: Democratic

Q: Which will be the majority party in the U.S. Senate in March of 2011?

A: Democratic

Q: Which will be the majority party in the U.S. House of Representatives in March of 2012?

A: Republican

So, some encouraging responses, one interesting response. A note on the phraseology of my questions. I wanted to make sure I was asking my pendulum who would keep the House and Senate seats, instead of who would win the races. As we all know, there's a big difference between who actually wins the race, and who gets to have or keep the elected office in question. So, I wanted to know who my pendulum thinks will be in the offices up for grabs now...by the Spring of next year. Just to make sure. Asking the wrong questions about election results-vs.-outcomes messed up my average in 2008, I think.

About that last question--I've been getting the sense that a shake-up in Congress that may not occur until after the midterms could be a factor in the next couple of years. So I asked about the balance of power in '12. (After asking which party would have the majority in March of '12 and getting "Republicans," I was too scared to ask about the Senate.)

YMMV (your meditation may vary).

55. No, I asked about March of 2012 in last night's meditation.
I've been feeling that there's a chance for changes in the make up of Congress to take place after the 2010 midterms (possibly through at least one surprise resignation or something, etc.) I was feeling that it would happen in the Senate, but I asked about the House first and then didn't want to ask about the Senate.

The truth is, I'm surprised this meditation produced the relatively uplifting results it did. I think we will lose the House, I'm sorry to say. I also do not have a good feeling about the President's political situation or the stability of our government generally.

56. It is imperative that we put as much work and positive energy into these elections as is possible.
We cannot lose any ground whatsoever to the selfish destroyers. They can use the new energy to achieve their goals as easily as we can, and they are certainly filled with the energy and drive to do so.

Please pray continuously for complete Democratic victory.

Thanks for your insight, BI.

Thursday, October 14, 2010
IT IS IMPERATIVE TO GET OUT AND VOTE DEMOCRATIC.

The fall 2010 elections are a critical time, and =we= must vote, we must get it together, we must demand a higher way of living, or it could fall back the Republicans, the worsts aspects of the Republicans, to be direct. An increasing destruction of social services, privatization of schools and service infrastructure (teachers, nurses, firefighters, etc.), and the formal establishment of corporations as our leaders.

This can happen.

It can also easily go the other way, to an increasingly joyous way of life. Please get out there and vote. And please mobilize each and every person you know to join you. Offer to carpool. Find different ways to get everyone to go together (plan ahead to go together). Seriously.

67. Very good.
Thank heaven Boxer, Reid, and Jerry Brown are in.

And I get that things can change, that at least one Republican in this batch may lose their position as the energy continues to rise and the cleansing continues. Struggle will continue, but it is the sort of struggle which clarifies and creates focus, which will be needed in the 2011 energy (which is of refinement and 5th-Dimensional characteristics such as dignity, truth, balance, integrity, equality...).

Peace..

59. Really? How odd!
The houses in my dreams were from my childhood--my first home where I lived till I was 7 and another home we moved into when I was 14. The ones in between (an apartment and another home) weren't in my dreams.

Washing hair in public? Er, nope, not on my slate! I wonder what that means--must be some sort of symbol for revealing something private?

63. I've noticed the owls are particularly busy in the pasture
and woods behind my house. They are all talking to each other. Usually, there is only one hooting and an occasional answer from another one in a distance. Maybe someone who knows owl lore will chip in and explain what is going on. As for the dog, could there be a new family member arriving, not necessarily a dog?

64. Here's hoping it's this and nothing more.
http://www.csmonitor.com/Science/2010/1026/Indonesia-tsunami-and-volcano-why-the-region-is-so-violent

Indonesian 7.7 earthquake, resulting tsunami kills more than 100, Mount Merapi sputters.

A triple threat. Several months ago when I went seeking future events, I'd figured it to be more like an even larger earthquake or very large ice shelf calving. Here's hoping that my mistaken time sense (still difficult to do time quite right) has this as what I'd sensed, and nothing more, as it's quite enough. God bless and guide all involved all who are involved in this...

November rediction given here:

Sun Mar-21-10 01:34 PM, "25. PV: Something about November (or nearby)."

"Just over a day ago I was seeking ahead and two things came to me. 'volcanism/lava' and 'November'...So, 'something about November'. I don't know what it means, although I was again asking after earthquakes."

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=245x112444#113680

Apologies to those who really wish for psychic phenomenon to not be real, or for me to not have them. I again invite anyone and everyone to do as I have, and to make such general predictions (but about specific types of events, especially multiple events), and to post them publicly in this or another essentially uneditable forum. Not rubbing anyone's nose in it, just wishing to be left alone and for facts to be accepted. Calculate the odds of my having predicted so many earthquakes, even factoring in when I said "possibility" and not "definite", and nothing happened. Cheers, and please leave me alone. Peace.

65. I don't know if it's the power of suggestion from reading about others' dreams...
but I'm also having rather chaotic dreams now.

The last few nights I have specifically been asking for guidance (specific guidance) before going to sleep. I usually get my most profound "aha" moments via dreams, especially when I ask specific questions.

What's odd is that the common theme in the dreams these last few nights is that I'm running from something. Not in a terrified sense, but in a controlled, planned way to escape something or someone. I don't know the details.

Now that I type that, it's not just that I am running away from something/someone (which is definitely part of the dream), but that I'm also very specifically trying to get TO something/someone.

One tidbit from last night's dream that I don't recall being part of the others within this theme is that I had many, many identities. I was able to find a temporary home from place to place without fear of being discovered because I had many identities (usually verified on the computer...lol) that I could tap into and use.

No answers that I can yet glean from the dreams though.

:shrug:

66. I had a dream about examining how I look at people
I was talking to a young woman who was upset. I tried to commiserate with her and she said that I was lying. She said "I know what you think of my work." and then proceeded to tell me of words that I said to others about her work, basically not valuing it, thinking it was shoddy, that she was inexperienced. In my dream I was taken aback. And the truth of it that I had not considered her to be "a real" or "a professional" (whatever, I'm not sure if it had to do with costuming or nursing now). It made me think of -- are there others who I hold this opinion or judgement of and don't take their concerns or abilities seriously? Are there other people that I meet that I just don't bother talking much with because I have prejudged them as intellectually lightweights and not considered that they also have valid and interesting opinions-- even though they may express them clumsily? Don't we do this with teenagers-- discount their opinions? So in effect, I was shutting people out and being unfair to them and pretending not to--which is what I think is called patronizing-- and that is hypocritical and ultimately mean behavior.

It made me think of conversations I had recently.

Then I also considered -- is this also how I treat myself? Do I discount my own ability and talents?

Anyway, it gave me lots to mull over. At any rate, I am determined to give my fair attention and listen to everyone, and not make prejudgments--be more generous in my regard.
