Kosh Quotes for the 12 Signs of the Zodiac!
You need to know the science-fiction show "Babylon 5" to get this, but it's worth watching. Very spiritual for sci-fi and written/created by an atheist at that! :D

Aries: Some must be sacrificed if any are to be saved.

Taurus: Listen to the music, not the song.

Gemini: The truth points to itself.

Cancer: Being seen by so many at once was a great strain.

Leo: Your opinion does not enter into it.

Virgo: A stroke from the brush does not guarantee art from the bristles.

Libra: Understanding is a three-edged sword -- your side, their side, and the truth.

Scorpio: We are a dying people...obsessed with each other's death until death is all we can see and death is all we deserve.

Sagittarius: I am studying.

Capricorn: What is need, compared to the path?

Aquarius: Jump. Jump now!

Pisces: We are all Kosh.

I never watched Babylon 5 but read his dialogue. Very interesting. Appears to be an advanced intellect. As a Pisces..yes we are all Kosh, a lot of us just don't know it!! :web:

5. The Vorlons are considered to be one on many races called the "First Ones"
or those races that have been around since the beginning of the universe. So yes, definitely possessing an advanced intellect ;)

4. Never watched "Babylon 5," but last night...
I watched an episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation." I always LOVED that show...huge Jean Luc fan here. :hi:

I find that series so darn prescient! The episode last night was called "Outcast," and it involved a gender-neutral species, and how the members who do identify as male or female are treated as outcasts, as unworthy, as "sick" in their society, and are send to essentially re-education camps to heal their "sickness."

I thought it was so powerful. I often take away great social commentary and insight from "Star Trek" episodes, and have a feeling "Babylon 5" and similar shows have the same impact.

Lots of good inside jokes for fans, too. ;)

:hi:

6. I love Star Trek, too, though I don't always watch every episode if I see it on.
Some of them just bore me, such as those that focus on the Klingons.

Give Babylon 5 a chance and you might see similar themes. Just don't be put off with it seeming like a copy of Deep Space 9. There is a legitimate controversy surrounding that between Columbia Pictures and J. Michael Straczynski (Columbia copied his show "bible" when he was looking for a studio to make his show; "Deep Space 9" was the result, and why ST fans will sometimes call B5 a copy of DS9...)

I highly recommend seeking this show out! I see, though, that hulu.com doesn't have it, so you may have to rent the DVDs (or find another streaming source.)

:hi:

7. I'm clueless about the other shows...

I never watched Deep Space 9, so I wouldn't have a clue if something seemed like a copy.

;)

I will give Babylon 5 a chance though since you highly recommend it. I'll let you know when I watch any episodes.

:hi:

8. It's an interesting story using some basic themes,
like "darkness vs. light" with plenty of twists and depth beyond that. Plus, the creator, JMS, likes the five-year story arc. In his opinion, it makes a series more like a book, with a beginning, middle and end, unlike most series on TV that have to find a way of tying everything up when they get canceled (when they get that opportunity at all.)

I will say that the acting in the first season is a little rough (some people have a harder time with that kind of thing than I) but stick with it as it gets much better.

Who knows? By the end of it you might be quoting Kosh, Delenn, G'kar, Londo, Sheridan, Ivanova, Franklin, and "Mister Garibaldi!" too :P

9. Very, very interesting.
I only saw one or two seasons of B5 and would love to see it from the beginning, to understand who is who and why they fight each other.
