Beautiful music about Family.
"Clare Burson is a Brooklyn-based independent singer-songwriter whose recent covers of Magnetic Fields and INXS songs have been getting a lot of notice. But the songs on her new album, Silver and Ash, are all her own."

Even if I didn't know where in Burson her songs on this album come from, I'd still be moved by her clear, crisp voice, orchestration and most of all her lyrics.

"My grandmother asked me, point blank, 'Why in the world do you want to go to Germany?' " she says. "We had a really frank conversation about why I wanted to go, and I used the word 'Holocaust' and 'Nazi,' which always seemed like very incredibly charged words to use around her. At the end of the conversation, she asked me why I had not asked her to visit me in Germany. I thought, 'Well, I never dreamed that you would want to go.' And she said, 'I will, for you.' "

"The World Turns On A Dime," is particularly moving for me.

She's so young...so talented and so wise.

Lovely.

5. Afer just watching Burson's video. Looking at
her buttons, I thought that it would be truly awesome to wear an "I Choose" button with any one of the words right below it :loveya:

6. What a great idea....

Unless she has changed her mind in the last 24 hours, Taylor is enamored of those message bracelets for the "I Choose" Campaign. One bracelet with a cluster of words from the graphic such as: Compassion, Kindness, Love...another with Social Justice, Freedom, Peace...you get the idea.

Some days have a particular vibe to them, so certain words come more into focus as to what we choose to express.

7. Oh, the charm bracelet is a lovely idea.
I'd certainly wear one and give as gifts. The words are so purposeful. I can see myself choosing one on a daily basis, picking it up, touching it, imparting that vibration on it, feels like a good regime and reminder throughout the day

3. Thank you for this, Blue.
My husband is ethnically Jewish, so this really touched me. I especially liked "Everything's Gone".
