Hi guys -- are any of you familiar with The Reconnection? For lack of a

better definition, it's an energy healing modality.

I'm thinking of taking the training and would love any input, experiences.

And.... if I DO take it I volunteer to practice my healing at a distance on anybody here who needs it. My intent on learning this is just to help people (initially my friend and my brother's dog!) -- not planning on opening a practice or anything.

1. Yes, I've gone through The Reconnection.

I had a very positive experience. My life changed quite a bit in the months following it. I had it done at the end of August, 2005, and I found this group in November of the same year. I feel that these two things were related. :)

I probably won't actually go through The Reconnection itself until a later date

because I'm scrimping and saving so every penny can go to the Level I/II Reconnective Healing. Level III is called The Reconnection (training) and one needs to have gone through it before taking the training, even if you've gone through the Level I/II. There are only 4 people who teach the healing, and another won't be held in Seattle for about 2.5 years, so I'm under a time crunch here. :)

I'm looking forward to it! I'll let you know how it goes, and again, if there's anything I can do for you at a distance, let me know!

5. It's my understanding that many types of energy healing (like Reiki) are effective over

distance. Quantum physics seems to back this up which is why I believe in this.

This particular one is called The Reconnection because the "founder" for lack of a better word, feels we're reconnecting to the energy that is US, that is EVERYTHING. I differ in thinking that we're never really DISconnected, but we've lost the ability to recognize it and utilize it.

6. I practice Matrix Energetics

and it works at a distance too. Most of those I work with are located far away from me. I do this by phone. Although some people want to have an in person session if they live near enough.

When I work on someone's pain or an issue they're facing, I usually get a lot of information on the source of the issue. Once we track down where things got rolling, it's usually relatively easy to resolve.

I've heard good things about Reconnection therapy.

In the end, I don't think it matters what system you use. We're using different tools to work in the same field of energy. Use what works for you. I wish you well on your explorations.

7. I've also had The Reconnection and can

honestly say that it has had a very positive and very interesting effect. I actually had a VERY mystical experience the next day! And with some of the experiences I've had, that's saying ALOT! In fact, the effects are really still unfolding, and that's how it works. The book is excellent if you want to read about it too. The healing center I work for also offers it and the people I know who have had it have had really positive experiences. Supposedly, it "reconnects strands" which may be referring to DNA, and the frequencies needed for it to take place weren't available on earth until recently.

I totally agree, it doesn't matter what system is used, or even any 'system' at all. It's there for us all, it IS us all, and I'm just so glad more and more people are opening up to these realities.

12. Could you compare it to Reiki?

I did Reiki I about two years ago and it just didn't do anything for me. Perhaps I just didn't connect with the instructor but it struck me as a lot of mumbo-jumbo.
I have practiced it a few times.
