Something just occurred to me while I was watching..
an interview with José Argüelles on Conscious Media Network. He is talking about the Mayan Calendar and how they kept time (the differences between the Gregorian and theirs; how the Gregorian is not natural, etc.) He then goes on to talk about how the Sun is such a central force to all of this and how it is a multi-dimensional organism; and the electromagnetic nature of it; how it affects life on earth, etc. He was talking about the noosphere also; and how some ppl think a lot of knowledge is stored there. He says there's an aspect of the noosphere that regulates the timing cycles of evolution of the planet. It's a lot to take in; I recommend watching the interview to catch up (if you can).

So he's saying that he believes - based on his reading/interpretation/understanding of the Mayan view of this 2012 date and the coming transformation it heralds - that we as humans will become (after the 2012 'hub') something he calls "bio-solar telepaths". Saying that our biological natures are hooked up to our solar natures; which is what was called "the coming Sixth Sun of Consciousness" or the new Solar Age. He says that we will realize that our consciousness is intimately related to the sun and solar radiation; and when we integrate ourselves we will become telepathic/enlightened(literally).

Then it hit me: THIS IS WHY THE PTB (read: Dermatology/Big Pharma/Etc) HAVE TOLD US THE SUN IS DANGEROUS TO OUR HEALTH and to stay out of it! Something that is really against most of our very natures to do, and is being proven to be the exact opposite - now it is being proven that many people are Vitamin D deficient precisely because they have stayed out of the sun...which leads to a higher incidence of cancer.

Take this with whatever salt you feel necessary, but it really hit me as true. Lol. Make of it what you will.. :)

1. Well, although I distrust Big Pharma, etc., as much as the next person, I had
melanoma from years of sunbathing (forcing my Irish skin to tan) so the sun WAS dangerous to MY health, anyway!

I think, though, it was excess sun that did me in, we do need the Vitamin D, and recent research shows it's crucial for far more than we ever knew!

2. I've heard
that the fairer your skin is, the less you need to get sunlight (in relation to those with darker skin). Not sure why that is,however.

I truly believe that everyone has an individual health; and that what works for one person will never work for the next. And of course, everything in moderation. It's just that the PTB have been pushing so hard for ppl to stay out of the sun as much as possible, all the time. It just doesn't make sense. There has to be a balance.

I'm sorry that you had to deal with the melanoma, but I'm glad you got through it. I try to balance my time in the sun/tanning with good time for my skin to recover. Having worked in a tanning salon and learning about the UVA/UVB rays; I managed to keep a good ration of time exposed to recovery time. So far so good, but everyone's skin is different, and yes..heredity plays a big part. I've got Irish, English and Cherokee; so my skin is fairly resistant but can still burn if I'm out even five min. too long.

3. Our bodies make vitamin D in the presence
of sunlight. Light skin makes it very quickly. Dark skin, less quickly.

The fact that too much sun is very bad for your skin if you are light-skinned has been well known at least since the 1960's. That's when I first became aware of it. I'm sure there is such a thing as too much sun exposure for dark-skinned people, I'm just not as familiar with it.

5. True...
my husband was very dark skinned, and when he was younger and lived in Fla. he got so much sun that it lightened his hair(made it reddish)and he got sunburn on his arms and face! It left it's scars ie those parts of his body that burned remained darker than the rest of his body 'til the day he died!

4. Less melanin which is a natural protectant against the sun (to a certain extent)
Darker complected have more melanin.

A friend of mine is part Cherokee and she's pretty resistant, too. You can thank that part of your heritage for a little more protection! :hi:

6. You make a wonderful point, ld
I have very fair skin and when I was younger, I would always get too sun burnt because I was trying to get those beautiful tans like all the popular people did. Then I stayed inside too much, basically because I was concerned about the harm the sun had been doing on my skin every year.

Over the past few years during the summer, however, I have made it a point to float in the pool an hour or two a day on each Saturday and Sunday (with sunscreen on of course) for that Vitamin D and the solar energy. I haven't been burned at all. I've even gotten a nice tan and have felt much healthier than I did when I found myself hiding from the sun the whole time.

Yes, there's a lot of dangers being in the sun too long, but with balance, I've been real happy with the energy the sun gives me.

7. our bio is connected to the sun's light but perhaps this is
more about experiencing our telepathic ability-in a *concious (*Sun-metaphor) manner-to 'bring it to the light of consciousness'.
