Over Christmas I called a good friend of mine to thank her for her gift to my daughter. This person and I go back a long ways both in friendship and interest in spiritual matters. She worked for many years for the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE), Edgar Cayce's organization and last I knew was on their board of directors, although that may have changed. Anyway a mutual friend of ours from high school had sent her this link

The story is interesting, but even more so is the idea of a world-wide meditation on July 27, 2007. Has anyone else here heard about this and if so, what are your thoughts? I'm frankly intrigued.

First, I'll certainly try to remember to post a reminder closer to the date. I'll put it in my tickler at work.

As for the date, I don't know. Apparently neither does the channel. She said that the Light Beings communicating with her have not said why, only that it's to be on July 17th starting at 11:11 GMT. Maybe there is some astrological alignment that day that makes it appropriate for the purpose? Perhaps in the months to come there will be more of an explanation.

One small correct, I believe the date is 7/17/2007, not 7/27/2007. Maybe I am not reading clearly?
