Decided to finally make my jump into the deep end of the pool
Hello, finally. I've been lurking here for the better part of
a year and I decided to join you wonderful people in
discussion. I'm a pure direct intuitive and I have to say
that it's nice to have a place where people understand others
like me. I have been intrigued and tickled, confounded and
confused at times with the different subjects and inquiries
but always interested and eager for more.
For those astrologers among you, I am an aquarian/libra rising
with Uranus(retro @9 degrees Virgo), Pluto(retro @ 13 degrees
Virgo) and Moon (@ 9 degrees Virgo) in my 12th house. I'm
very happy to be a member of this esteemed company and hope to
contribute to the discussion in a complete and constructive
way. :grouphug:

5. AZ you lived here in Sacramento?
I don't know the last time you've been here but the building and sprawl that has taken place in the last few years would have your bottom lip on the ground. My husband and I bought 25 acres about 2 hours north of here and plan to build a nice country home there. Tired of the pollution and traffic, although I'll miss the ethnic grocery stores and restaurants. My inlaws live in Surprise Arizona.

18. up above Red Bluff? that's a nice area. I always though up along
the Feather River would be nice.

and my plans are to be out of Phoenix in a couple years too, same problem, smog, congestion, crime.

west of Corning. Lovely views, Mount Shasta, MT Lassen and the coastal range.

10. Nope, not all..
I literally hear, see and speak to spirits ALL THE TIME. Have been since I completely woke up in 1995. Can't turn it off, try thought I may. I can't tell you the things and the information I get off of the Head Chump, B***. The funniest thing is that when he first began running in 2000, I couldn't stand to even look at him, (still can't). Everything intuitive I know,( and i know quite a few), had the same reaction and we couldn't understand why, at first. When he was installed by the SOTU, I said something in passing that unfortunately, turned out to be all too true. I turned to my mother and said, "he's going to get us killed, you watch". On September 11th, 2001, my mother phoned me and said, "Mel, you were right." I didn't know, at the time, what she was talking about, because I tend to forget information given me once I given it to whomever I'm supposed to. She reminded me of what I said and until she passed over in 2004, she would always remind me that I was right. I broke out in tears when I saw that the White House had once again been stolen and my husband asked me why I was so upset, which I suppose was much more than what most people displayed in reaction to the theft of our country. I turned to him and said,"the reason that I'm so upset is because I can see what's coming and it's far beyond what most people who have ever dreamed we would undergo in this country. Mark my words." When Katrina hit, (I have a great Aunt still missing), he looked at me and said, " what else is coming?"

17. Dream....
Although I KNOW that she's left this mortal coil, I also know she's alright. One day, I tell you all about the NDE I had, actually it was 3 NDE'S. I was allowed to see the place where we go when we leave this body. BUT I will say that people are going to pay for what was done to Tante and countless thousands who remain missing, find themselves homeless, physically or mentally ill. Thank you so VERY much for your sweet words. They mean everything.:loveya:
And I have "heard" from her. Although I hate the word, I am what I suppose would be called a Medium. My family members and friends, when they cross, always seem to be certain to make sure that they let me know they made it and are okay.O8)

29. I used to have that too but
about two or so years ago I had a bad experience with a negative spirit and got a shield put over me with the help of my guides and now it's much better. If it bothers you so much maybe you can try that. You can tell your guides to have the shield to where you can command it and who to let in etc. It helps a lot. I used to have spirits come and ask for help all the time and feel them very strongly at night and other places from my home. Now life is more peaceful and I can enjoy it. I hope and pray your aunt is found. :( Maybe one night we can all come on and send positive energy to help find your aunt. Do you know if things will ever get better? I have had visions of Kerry winning the White House but it wasn't this time. I could feel it'd be soon though but I don't know if it's this next election or what. :( You should try to keep a journal with your spiritual experiences, thoughts etc. I do that and it helps if I forget something.

33. I can truly say that it rally doesn't bother me
Except when they're all saying something at the same time. Among the spirits, ( I call them the People), are about 40 children. Freaked my poor husband out so much that he went to get his gun to "persuade" the intruder to leave. He tells me he sees them ALL THE TIME but only in Shadow and silhouette. He's also heard me speaking to them and voices that answer me back. I can truly say that contrary to popular opinion regarding haunted places, I am haunted. They follow me from place to place, house to house. I have learned to sleep with the radio on for white noise so that I'm not bothered by their conversations. They don't sleep.as well you know. Looking forward to good times and learning new things from others.

13. Well met!
Welcome to the "moonbat forum"! (Sometimes we get quoted in other places in less than flattering terms--but it goes with the turf, I guess.) We have some wonderful folks here, and this is a place of refuge and support for many of us. Adding another member to our happy band is always welcome news...

I'm sorry to hear about our Aunt. So many people are suffering right now, and news of another family in agony is difficult to hear. Please know that you are not alone--that we care.

May your path brighten very soon.

15. Thank you so much ..
I am used to being called names that insinuate that I'm a bit looney UNTIL I start talking about things that these same people think that noone knows except themselves and God. Then, I'm called haunted, a witch,(usually by men who consider themselves to be patriarchs in the mold of Moses and Abraham) and I am a Christian. (I'm not religious, that just means force of habit. After all, you can be religious about brushing your teeth at a certain time, in a certain manner, for example. I have a faith and I was taught that as a Christian, you NEVER beat someone over the head with it. You just live your life and walk your talk. I don't let that bother me. Usually, if someone makes a cooment, depending on my mood, I may just go into their past, I suppose most call it the Akashic records and give them a little example of what I am, looney or not. Usually, these same people are the type to contact me on the sly for a reading, trust me. As it applies to my Aunt, I know she's gone and I also know that her remains will never be found but I just have nothing but contempt for these corrupt philistines,(with apologies to Goliath and family). Luckily, there is a huge tsunami of punishment coming for this regime, mark my words.

When I had my chart done the first time a few years ago, I learned that apparently it's some sort of hallmark. I understand some basic things about Astrology but claim no expertise and bow graciously to anyone who has learned such a fascinating subject.
Are you in southern California? I'm originally from Southern California and when I was a little girl, I went to a summer camp in the foothills near Ojai, IIRC.

I am ALWAYS on. I suppose I'm one of those "Lucky":eyes: Intuitives who NEVER get a break, EXCEPT when I was in hospital when I still hear People BUT the funniest thing is that they were shushing one another and admonishing each other to be quiet because I needed to heal.
I am clairaudient, clairvoyant, clairsentient, precognitive, medical intuitive...you name it BUT I don't, in fact, CAN'T use any divinatory aids, ie, runes, cards, etc. Asking me to use them is like tying a dead body to my ankle and demanding that I run the 100 yard dash in 5 minutes. It ain't happening. Unlike many readers I have spoken to, I never had to work on being able to read nor do I have to meditate. In fact, I can't meditate, I fall asleep. I have an "entourage" of 40 children, the smallest one I call "baby". I seem to attract the spirits of children. I have a friend in Seattle who volunteers for the heart transplant program and there was a young boy, I believe that he was 13 years old, who was on the the transplant list. Now, I'd been telling her that I had welcomed a spirit and the strangest thing was that he was VERY shy and would always hide behind corners, bureaus, etc BUT he has the biggest feet I had ever seen on someone his size. The strangest thing was that he was dressed in what, for all the world, looked like the jumpsuit that the characters wore on the Star Trek tv show. I explained that he's shown up on my birthday, January 30 and he seemed to hang out with my brother, Adam, who was VERY much into SciFi. He also would stand in the background watching Star Trek with obvious enjoyment. I would see him standing over Adam reading his books or watching him play roleplaying games, etc. She told me a few weeks later that the boy she'd told me about, (he was Bosnian-Hercegovinian), had died while awaiting his transplant, that he loved science fiction and everything associated AND that although he was only 5'6", he had a size 11 shoe. When he was buried, he was buried with a prop uniform from Star Trek Next Generation!! The uniform was given to him in a surprise visit with Make-A-Wish had arranged with the stars of the program. She didn't want to tell me that he'd died on my birthday because she didn't want me to get upset.
My friend was dating one of the actors at the time and I read for a few of them.
I have always been able to see, hear and speak to the People, (the spirits of those who've died), for as long as I can remember. I finally gave in to the pull and began to read "professionally" about 13 years ago. My grandmothers, (both sides) were/are intuitive,(both of them are aquarians, My greatgrandmothers, greatgrandfather, aunts, one brother, (He's a cancer), my mother was intuitive, although it frightened her to a large extent. My family and friends have always been able to "call me" when they were in trouble and I always hear them and often see where they are. However, I always tell people that it ain't easy living how I live and "seeing" the world as I do. It's frightens alot of people. AS a matter of fact, in the group of readers I know, they call my "spooky Melody".:yoiks:

55. You are an open mike then all the time, and a psychic sponge?
It seems like it would be really important for you to cleanse and protect yourself. May I ask how you do that? I am working on that as well. And are you mostly mediumistic in that you channel discarnate spirits?

56. I am ALWAYS on the mike...
As you say. I don't know how to turn it off. I hear what I describe as a "cocktail party", punctuated with staccato voices, (laughing, people calling out names, incredulity<"oh, really?", "you're kidding?">). It's no different than if you were in a crowded room, auditorium, etc. The only times they've been quiet was when I was in hospital, the time when I had the NDE's and the second time in 2000 when I had a second abdominal surgery.
I don't know that I "channel". I describe it like this: When a deaf person is "listening" to a speech being given by a hearing person, they are assisted by a third person who is translating the spoken words into sign language. The hearing person can "speak", the deaf person can "see the speech" but the signing person acts as a bridge because they can hear the speech and transform the sounds into visible speech. Without the facilitator, neither party can interact,(lip readers notwithstanding). I am the person who forms the bridge. When I read for people, I let them know that there's no difference between me and anyone else. It's just that, for whatever reason, I have the ability to see, hear and interact with both sides. The People(spirits) can see and hear everything, I can see and hear everything, it's just the client that's out of the loop. I like to say that, theoretically, each one of us is born with the possibility of running but only a few go on to become Olympians.
I have ALL of the Intuitive gifts, hasn't always been something I welcomed. I described the ability to predict things to other like this: Most people remeber the past, I and others like me remember the future as well.

59. The receiver is the pineal gland
A gland located behind your third eye deep in your brain.
You have a large one. We can all expand our pineal gland thru special meditation but it gives me a headache when I do it!

A problem with the open mike syndrome can be contacts with negative lower level spirits? Does that happen to you? Are you able to sort out the higher beings from the lower?

And are you able to use your aura to protect you? Do you get your Chakaras cleansed? If so, has that helped?

Sorry for all the questions!

One day I would like to work with psychics in terms of de-stressing, cleansing, helping them protect and use their gifts. Help them understand their gift and what they are meant to do with it. Being a psychic is a lonely scary place sometimes. And there is a need for support and cleansing.

60. I have never had any negative spirits.....
Edited on Fri Feb-17-06 08:36 PM by Ecumenist
contact me or in any way try to interact with me. I must say that I have been very protected by my People, which includes my sister Raine, my grandfathers and my mother Margie. I woke up completely in 1995 when I made the mistake of asking to be able to be just like James Van Praagh, not a good idea if you're not really ready for it. My uncle showed up and told me that he was going to give proof that he was there and gave the information which he then requested that I give my mother and brother. I did and as soon as I related the information, he started playing practical jokes on them.
I have always been protected from harm, although when I first moved into my husband's condo, there was a "thing" that REALLY didn't like me being there and made it clear that it didn't want me there. I cleansed the place and sealed it as much as I could, considering that we had two common walls and a neighbor upstairs. It stayed away UNTIL the last day we were there when we removed the crucifixes and the talismans that protected the space. I was taking the last trip from the condo to the car carrying my flowers when "something" pushed me down, (my husband saw it happen and I ended up cracking my patella). I was VERY angry, not frightened and said a prayer to banish whatever "it" was. I made sure to say a prayer to ask for protection for our new home and placed a line of sea salt across the doors, as well as herbs that repel negative entities.
Although it tried to follow me, it was unsuccessful, thank God. I knew it was an elemental and that the problem it had with me was that I knew it was there and it didn't like that I could see it. When I saw it the first time, I was afraid for about oh, 5-8 seconds, then I got pissed as hell. It did not like that I was afraid of it and I was not going to allow it to intrude on my and my husband. It would make him depressed. It wasn't really a negative entity in the classic sense, just very childlike and confused. I have accepted that this is just the way I will live my life, interacting on a daily basis with spirits, having animals follow me, (there's an owl that actually follows me and has come to backyard "calling" me, a real loud screech/whistle and other wild animals AND domesticated animals as well), small children following me and grinning as well as infants staring and grinning, (the weirdest and most wonderful thing) and perfect strangers telling me their life stories, out of the clear blue sky.

61. Yes I know what you mean
I too have the strong sense of protection, some of us have large groups
of angels, guides, ascended beings surrounding us. Even still please take care to cleanse your aura and chakras as you are going to picking up every thing that comes along. You might try wrapping yourself in violet light around particularly difficult cases. And as you notice everyone is attracted to your energy.

I would love to see your natal chart someday if you would permit it.

Blessings to you and your gifts.

WOOOO Santa Cruz Mountains???!! I LOVE THE AREA!! One of my best friends lived there, in Scotts Valley for years until the great storm of 1982. My brother is looking to attend graduate school at UC Santa Cruz...
I picked the dragon because I am a wood Dragon in Chinese Astrology. :hi: Thanks so much!!

I'm also a wood dragon! 1964. Aries. March 25th. :woohoo: AND we actually live in Scotts Valley, too! How funny is that?

I moved to SC in 1982 to attend UCSC and just never left. Met my man, got married, had two kids and now I'm doing the "mom thang". Been married for 13 yrs this coming June.

Time marches on, girlfriend.... :) Testify.

50. As the vernacular goes...
SOOKEE-SOOKEE NOW... Can you say S-Y-C-H-R-O-N-I-C-I-T-Y, Hmmm? I've only been married for 4 years, will be 5 years on May 6th. I wish I had children and am praying that I'm able to carry to term. It must be lovely in your area. My husband and I are building a Italian style home in Tehama county, 15 miles from the Mendocino county line.
I actually was given the Nomlaki name of the mountain that you can see from my property in a dream. The property was so far out that we were really reticent about buying in that area. We'd searched for 4 years for a piece of proerty in every county from the ocean to the Sierra Nevada from about Solano County in the west to all through Sonoma and through Sacramento to Eldorado, Yuba, Sutter, you name it.
I had been "told" that we needed to look in the northern Sacramento valley. When we went to look, we both independently asked, quietly for a sign. Unbeknownst to the other, we'd asked to see a PURPLE BIRD as a sign, I mean BIRGHT PURPLE.. What do you suppose flew right across the hood of the car, in the dead of winter. This was in late december 2003-early january of 2004 and there was still snow on the valley floor. That was the year that there was that big blizzard that closed down I5 and trapped hundreds of drivers on the highway for three days. There had been properties that we 'd been interested in but it seemed that nothing we did would work to get these other properties.
A month before we found this property, I'd had a dream where I'd actually seen the name Yolla Bolly and I commented on this to my husband and my friends. Imagine what we felt when we found out that the native american name for the moutains immediately west of my property is called Yolla Bolly!!!
My husband just stared at me for the better part of 3 hours shaking his head.

52. How fun to be building your own home! It sounds great and clearly
it was meant to be, where you settled.

I believe, ultimately, we're ALL exactly where we need to be.

:hi: Nice to "meet" you!

53. Ditto....
Yes indeed... my husband and I have understood that it is exactly where we need to be for right now.
I just love the northwestern coast, Mendocino and Humboldt county. May be looking to get another property on the coast in a year or so and go completely off the grid. We're putting in a solar energy system and are also looking at wind power as well. We get quite stiff wind in the morning in one direction and in the evening in the other. God placed us where he wanted us... and put all of us together through the Net. :grouphug:

Who am I kidding? Can I expose my boneheadedness where it comes to the more analytical aspects of astrology and ask you to please explain Virgo/12th stuff? It's about as clear as a mud window...:dunce:
