Sorry, I've been meaning to post this for ages. Sandra Ingerman is a shaman, has three sites, started a project "Medicine for the Earth" where groups meditate and, for instance, hav. In her shamanic workshops, one of which I was invited to attend here at work, they take water with lots of some chemical that makes it extremely basic, actually fatal, and they meditate around it, then drink it. They actually lower the pH, and started out doing this by using pH test paper, of course.

It was in her workshop that I think what has been happening to me -- the good thing -- began. Later, by e-mail, she suggested that when I meditated, which I had only recently begun doing, I should say to myself, "Thank you for taking away that which keeps me separate." Then this spontaneous kundalini yoga thing happened, which I knew absolutely nothing about, but which is a truly wonderful, affirming experience for me.

Alchemists did not literally change lead into gold. Rather they transmuted heavy leaded consciousness into gold light consciousness. Jesus in Matthew 5:30-20 challenges us not to hide our light under baskets. When mystics all over the world perform their miracles of healing they are seen to shine and become luminescent. Throughout Medicine for the Earth I write about the importance of’ the concept of light in all spiritual traditions.

We are light and we came here to shine. But most of us have forgotten our true nature as well as why we came here. We were created from love and light and we are love and light. It is our birthright to shine as fully in the world as we can.

Many of us have been taught at an early age not to shine too bright. If we shine too bright no one will love us. There can only be a few “stars” and it is not you. Does this sound familiar?

Why can there only be a few stars here on earth? I have never heard anyone say when looking up at the stars in the sky, “I wish that star wouldn’t shine so brightly it is outshining other stars”. Why do we have that belief here?

It is time for all us to shine our light, which will reflect back the beauty of the night sky above us. We need to find our shine again so that we can light up the dark places of the world.

On a monthly basis we will create a human web of light. This will not only bring light to places that need it right now, but it will heal us and help us remember our true nature which is light. It will also be quite healing to know that you are hooking up with thousands of others who are remembering that we are light. As we share this concept with others our web of light will grow which I know will have an impact on the earth and all life on it.

In Medicine for the Earth I teach that intention + harmony + love + concentration + focus + union + imagination = transmutation. This formula will help us in remembering our light and letting it shine forth.

Someaday I'll have a chance to sit down here and try to talk for a while. Maybe then I'll be able to figure out what the problem is....

Maybe there are unwritten rules I do not understand.

I know I work at a very demanding job, commute for a very long time, have a daughter, come home and cook, and then either I mediate, read DU or go to bed. My spouse is uncooperative and unsupportive, and I go to DU to catch up and read what like-minded people are saying.

I should have worked at home tonight, but didn't get a chance. Came home to company, had to cook, we ate at 10 or so.

Sigh, sigh. Maybe when I retire.

But Sandra Ingerman is really something special, I think. She's written a number of books, including on soul retrieval, and worked with scientists to confirm the effects of work with cleaning up pollution.

I think someday I will be able to point to the day I attended her workshop as a turning point in my health struggle, which has been trying, to say the least.

It kind of pains me that I seem so unable to interest anybody in this forum in her. Is that because I do not usually post? Or because I have cooties? What could it be?

I imagine it is a dynamic I simply do not understand, and should not really try to figure out.

4. Etm, I don't think that there are any unwritten rules. There are many...

times when I post things to which nobody responds, but I'm hoping that people are still checking out the information. I truly don't think that it has anything to do with how often one posts, at least in this forum.

Because you feel so strongly that she's special, I will be even more certain to spend some extra time looking at her information. Have you posted information about her before?

Please don't feel rejected in any way! I've always appreciated your posts, and when I saw that you were posting a bit more often recently, it made me happy.

6. I've been buried for a couple of months now....

Almost looking at daylight, I am!

I'm hunting for someone who responded to me a while back, about feeling better. It may have been you. I will see in a minute. I wrote this long reply, but I was at work, and when I tried to post it, it just vanished.

Lately, I've been way too tired by the time I get home to post anything.

It's time for a change. I do think to post in any other forum I will have to create myself a new identity, but I think it's okay here. Of course, I could be wrong. I should change my name....

I checked out that "divine cosmos" site, and that guy's pretty fabulously interesting. I printed out 13 chapters of one of his books, which I am reading.

So I'm going hunting now. I guess I'm not so tired, or something. About time, too!

need of some soul nourishing. I'm glad that you're seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

3. Actually alchemists *did* change lead into gold

and still do. The interesting thing is that it requires all the spiritual/psychological processes that the writer mentions. If you've ever read 'The Tao of Physics' there is a parallel.

5. It's been a while, but I just found your reply.

Yeah, now I know they did. I imagine Sandra Ingerman knows that too, but it honestly wasn't what was the most important thing to them. Obviously, of course. The reason they could do that was that they were about learning to do something else, which happened to cover that as well. At least, that's what I think. The whole transmutation thing.

9. Had a friend take her workshop awhile back...

and I rode along over to Santa Fe with her. I wasn't called to do the workshop myself, but she was favorably impressed with Sandra, although shamanic work isn't her thing.

I've done a number of shamanic workshops with those who studied under Michael Harner over the years. Wish I had time to do some journeying again...

Where's Crowdance? I know we've got some shamanic practictioners around here...then again, many like to keep a low profile about some things.....even here.

10. Here I am, DR!

Been wrestling/walking with some mighty powerful forces lately; been quite a distraction. Thanks for thinking of me!

Sandra and her work are amazing things. The really lovely thing about Medicine for the Earth (both the book and the practice) are her focus and insistence in this: by learning to heal yourself, you learn to heal the dear, sweet Earth. I really, truly belive that these individual acts of integrity and love are what will cure the world of its ills. We are, after all, Earth's beloved children. We were born to adorn and serve her.

Sandra, herself, is such a powerful being, connected so thoroughly with Spirit. And yet, at the same time, so thoroughly Human. when Sandra calls in the directions you can physically feel it, the winds wooshing through your hair, warming or chilling your skin. It is awesome to be in the room with her.

I had not been interested in reading Medicine for the Earth, originally. But a friend so strongly loved it that I finally did. And it was a revelation that shaped my way of being and thinking now. I now know that by acting with integrity and pure love in my every action I am transmuting the difficult energies of this planet. Wow; that's a powerful message.
