Astrology Energy Patterns for February 2007

February... Are we up? down? going round and round?

February begins with three planets in Fire Signs, one planet in an Earth Sign, three planets in an Air Sign and three planets in Water Signs. Two planets are in Cardinal Signs, four planets are in Fixed Signs and four planets are in Mutable Signs. Six planets are in Positive Signs, four planets are in Negative Signs.

February starts with a stellium of three or more planets in one Sign with the Sun, Mercury and Neptune in Aquarius. This stellium is short-lived as Mercury exits Aquarius on the 2nd and enters Pisces creating a stellium in Pisces as Mercury joins Venus and Uranus in the Mutable Water Sign. Our emotions are turned up. We could become moody as we take on more Water. We are likely to feel compassionate, interested in the plight of others, and wanting to save the world. In our consciousness, we may silently repeat the refrain: 'there but for the grace of god go I'.

We need to watch that our thoughts are not more influenced by our heart rather than our head.

The month begins with eight planets in the universal phase of the zodiac, the Signs of Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Our focus may be turned to the world at large. We may be looking at how we see ourselves fitting or molding our future according to the conditions unfolding on the world stage.

While we could be considering our prospects and our possibilities, we also have the weight of standout Saturn pulling us back, dredging up the past or having us take inventory of where we have come from and the baggage we have brought with us. We may have some great ideas and visions of a better world, but we could also be confronting our fears, our sense of restriction and our commitments or obligations as obstacles to our getting to a new and improved future.

I must respectfully disagree on this point. I think this month we need to be thinking more from our heart, and not our head. I hope I have this switched around accurately...

4. Sorry it took so long to reply...

Mainly because Neptoon is opposite Saturn. We must remember that even though Saturn is traveling singeltary... And Saturn is being exaggerated... That Neptune is the planet with the most strength (In my opinion it is by far the strongest of all the planets.) Therefore, this continuing Saturn o-o Neptune is about facing reality and getting sober, etc., along with keeping your dreams alive during the Saturn time. Saturn gets a bad rap. Coming from a double-Capricorn...

Saturn is extremely underrated. It CARES. That is why it voluntarily accepts the weight of the world and the ensuing responsibilities that it does. And it does so through the heart...even though it stresses realistic, material solutions to its problems. It does so because it wants them solved. Because it is willing to go to any length to do so and that can only come about via a big heart, eh?

So now... this Saturn/Neptune thing requires feeling. Feeling your way to an answer. Intuiting your way to a balance of the two major energies that really need to live together. This is a time to sober, yes, but most importantly it is a time for Saturn to assess the deep spiritual commitments we have (Neptune), to temper them, make them real, and put them into focus and manifestation.

It seems that the more we truly, and accurately follow our hearts, the less we need to employ Saturn as a chaperone. Get me?

I was a bit concerned when I read Don's take as we had some sychonistic happenings today

I have been concerned about my husband's employment situation and oddly, he got the day off today.

Then a call from a company he'd submitted a resume to last month for an interview which he did this afternoon (the only time he would be available this week with the other job committments)

The job was a bit of a mystery but when he got there, it was a great fit for his skills and would be a wonderful challenge for him.

He's to hear one way or the other tomorrow so your update gave me hope.

I'm glad it's working out for your husband. Things are tough now with Saturn (actually, when are things not tough, eh?)... The more you can make firm decisions now as to who you really are and let the fluff go by, the better.
