About 10 years ago, I participated in a weekly workshop that focused on the work of the channeled being with whom I work. We each had to do a presentation on his work, and I chose the subject of "Blocks to Prosperity and Manifestation". I pulled the information from his lectures over the years.
I thought that this group might be interested in what this channeled being says in reference to the subject. In many ways, it's like
The Secret, but there are some differences.
Here is the outline:

My topic this evening is what blocks us from prosperity and from manifesting those things that we want.

There are two things required to manifest those things that you want in your life:- Knowing what you want
- Believing you deserve it
Knowing what you want
- Simply wanting something isn't enough
- You must be able to visualize how it will affect your life in as many aspects of your life as possible. Requires a clear and focused understanding or picture. Must absolutely be able to experience it and see it.
- The more you are able to see greater detail in your visualization, the faster what you want manifests
Believing you deserve it
- One of our greatest sabotages is our irresponsibility
- You may not believe you'll act responsibly -- that you'll misuse whatever it is that you want if you were to get it.
- Do you really believe that your higher self trusts your opinion if all you have shown it is how untrustworthy you are in the world?
- This is a major aspect of having what you want
- For those of us who are not responsible for the power we have and the power we are, why should the Universe make it easier for us to be irresponsible?
- A second reason you don't think that you deserve what you want is that many people feel that if you don't get what you want, it is because you are being punished and you deserve to be punished.
- Thirdly, to many people, money is God. This is why many people feel that they don't deserve prosperity. Money has such a position of high power in their life, and they don't think that they deserve things of high power.
- We have in our lives right now what we believe we deserve.
- As a separate exercise, take a look at what you have, because it will tell you what you believe you deserve.
- Then look at what you want and don't have, and this will also tell you about what you believe you deserve.

Impatience can easily interfere with our ability to manifest.
- We've gotten used to having things immediately.
- We've forgotten that the things in our lives that we count on every day (such as reading or walking) required discipline and practice to perfect.

BELIEFS
- Already discussed: You don't believe you deserve what you want.
- Another issue that blocks our ability to manifest is that our beliefs must be in agreement with what we want, or we won't get what we want.
- You can have the technology (how to do it, such as through performing manifestation rituals) but not have the juice that powers it (the required beliefs).
- Another thing that can sabotage our ability to achieve prosperity or manifest what we want is setting your dreams so high that you don't believe that you can achieve them.
- Take a look at your dreams -- ask yourself whether you've gone beyond your beliefs.
- The way to get around this block is to come up with workable pieces (make then easy, baby steps) that you can work towards so that you can experience successes.
- People don't know what they can do if they have no successes. We can't have trust for things we've not experienced. We don't have trust if we don't have successes.
- A victory journal is a great way to recognize your ability to succeed. You can then use it to develop trust and to establish a stronger connection.
- Another belief issue that can block your ability to manifest money and relationships is your belief (whether realistic or unrealistic) about masculine energy based upon the child you were.
- Masculine energy is the outward representation in the world. Both money and relationships are outward representations in the world.
- Until you reach the point in your life where you do not separate but integrate what masculine truly is and feminine truly is, then money will be as abundant to you as your childhood abundance was, and love relationships will be as good for you as those you saw as a child.
- An additional issue in reference to masculine energy is believing that something out there will rescue you -- you are dependent on something other than yourself.
- A pervasive belief that our society has is its philosophy of No pain - no gain.
- This belief can make manifesting something much more difficult than it has to be.

- Another block to manifesting what we want is that like attracts like.
- As long as you are looking for something else to come into your life to bring to you wholeness (the job, the lottery, the person), what you are going to attract to you is a flawed mirror (something that is not whole).
- It is the step-by-step process that makes you what you want to draw to you.
- The Universe's promise: That which you put out will come back to you.

- A block that can exist when what you want is in sight is not being able to communicate or negotiate. (This is especially true in relationships.)
- Communication is the ability to be heard -- the ability to speak in a way that you get your point through to the other person. This includes what you don't say as well.
- You look for harmony -- you choose to create a relationship based on the lowest common denominator.
- Negotiation requires:
- Knowing what you want
- Knowing your value in relation to what is wanted. (What you are able to offer to the one from whom you want something. What the value is to the other -- not to you.)
- A great secret -- you can negotiate with the Universe. Sympathetic magic is exactly that. It is communicating in a way the Universe understands. You are negotiating using your power. You say to the Universe "I am doing this in order to have this. You like it when I do this, so let me have that."

- The blocks that we have now do not have to be with us permanently. we are constantly changing.
- The important step to take is to recognize your blocks and to retrain our belief systems. Give yourself quiet time to do this. Each effort we make in this direction takes us another step further towards overcoming our blocks.
- However, remember that patience is required until we perfect our ability to manifest.
