Hi. I'm popping out of my hole.
Edited on Fri Feb-23-07 11:30 AM by Dora
:hi:

I've been quiet in here lately. I've been feeling a little overwhelmed by feelings and events, and I've been hanging onto everyone's stories in here like they're a tow rope. I find so much help in reading your threads, and witnessing your love, and I nod daily in agreement with your affirmations of worldly abundance and hope.

I feel I am on a precipice. Perhaps all I need is to cut back on my coffee consumption, but I have a deep feeling that what's happening to me is more than caffeine addiction. WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME??? Every day I am stilled and quickened by intuition and excitement. Over the last few weeks I've found that I am losing interest in DU and other favored websites, my addictions/vices are losing their grip, I am changing behaviors and habitual responses.

Yesterday I received a job notice from an industry website I joined a long time ago. The opportunity looks perfect - almost as though I had created it for myself (and perhaps I did, LOL). But when I consider revamping and sending in my resume, I feel like I'm standing on the high dive for the very first time and the water is a long long way down.

I am tired of second-guessing myself and playing it safe. I'm posting here today because I'm seeking validation that now is the time for me to act, and that I deserve the real work I've been dreaming of doing. Any advice about what I can do to keep my excitement from becoming anxiety is appreciated, as well as astrological tips and prayers for fulfillment.

Bless you all.

1. Sit on the diving board instead
it won't seem so high!

What do you have to lose? Revamp and post that resume. See what you get back. If it isn't right for you, then just decline the offer. But don't not do it and then go through your life wondering "what if?". You'll regret it.

And what if the job is THE dream job!!!!!

You can do it Dora. Dive in. I bet the water is warm.

2. Thank you.

It's my fear of trying another door only to find that it too is locked, I guess. Rather Pavlovian of me. This consciousness of my own self-impeding habits is a painfully wonderful thing. Try, try again.

I will do it.

5. I have a fear of success,
which is very odd, but I can relate.

Go! Go! Go! :hi:

I need to edit something for a friend that is time sensitive so I can't look at your chart right now but I'll do so when I can.

In reading what you wrote I heard, "Ya can't get hurt doing a cannon ball. . . " SPLASH !!!

:) more later.

4. Cannonballs were always my preferred style as a kid.
I didn't know how to execute a graceful dive, and cannonballs made such a nice splash.

Thank you, Stella. I have plenty of work to do too. Tonight, I will focus on this again.

6. You have nothing to lose by sending in your resume. Then let the universe decide what happens!
Good Luck, go for it Dora.

That statement is a fairly apt description of the Uranus transit to your Moon which happened last March & April, last September, and the final passage happened last month. Uranus has an 84 year orbital period so a direct hit to a personal planet (in this case-a luminary) is quite unusual. Uranus can liberate one from old patterns and extraneous emotional baggage. The greater you recognize that you are in an entirely different place now, the more likely you will continue to beam in opportunities. Saturn is stationing on your progressed Sun from March until May so by then you will more than likely find employment that is a better fit for your inherent skills.

Jump in girl.

Try something like this to ward off anxiety. . ."I'm creating with spirit ideal employment for myself."

Great luck with it.

9. Mora for Dora
Your whole world is turning upside-down on March 5th. This can be really great!
The problem comes in that one, your Moon is being hit by Uranus and you are a Cancer. That moon is like a second sun sign to Cancers. And, it is extremely sensitive in Pisces! Secondly, security-seeking Cancer is amplified by Saturn in Taurus on your ascendant. Translation: you REALLY need emotional and physical security. There's nothing wrong with that except when URANUS hits, that's the last thing on its mind. It is about CHANGE and RISK.

Therefore, a much brighter light is ahead for you but you must at least temporarily be willing to upset the applecart with the faith that the aftermath of Uranus/Moon will bring a new, expanded, more exciting life.

Good luck to you.

11. Thanks to everyone.
I did it.

I thought about it for a week (I have loyalty issues), perseverated for another week (I have guilt issues), and I finally e-mailed my resume to them last week (I intend to have the career I want).

I'm worth it.
