Astrology of the Gulf War

I have already discussed this in several articles but I wanted to point out to astrologers what is happneing now in the Gulf War chart (3/20/03). I thought we could watch it for the next several days and see how it unfolds.

Progressed IC is conjunct natal Gulf War Saturn through April. In addition, progressed G.W. Moon is now quincunx natal Saturn. Thisis a huge stimulation of Gulf War Saturn, which is natally conjunct the IC and opposed to Pluto, as wella s square the Sun. This natal Saturn position represents the intransigence of a significant part of the population struggling with US war goals (Sun) or its resistance to change (natal Saturn on the IC), and causes tremendous obstacles to the goals of the US war effort. I wrote about this at the outset of the war, and it has taken several forms as things evolve. But what is interesting now is the difficulties in creating a government, which is what made me think of this Saturn energy going on right now.

In addition, Iraq is having the first phase of its Uranus return, exact right now, which is the beginning of something wholey new and liberating for them. There are various triggerings of the Gulf War Saturn through early November (transiting Pluto oposite natal Saturn in particular). So problems with US goals and struggles in the war effort til then. The final phase of the big trasnsformation for Iraq comes in January 2006 with the final phase of the Uranus return. And here is where it gets interesting. Uranus then crosses the Ascendant fo the US war effort in May and June 2006. We may get booted out of the country at that point or some other dramatic shift will happen around then. If we are still there by May 2006, there will be a radical change!
