1. Wonderful! I loved them all!
The last one was almost trance music. I loved the unusual instruments in the videos.

I hope that Dover sees these because I think that she will really enjoy them.

:)

2. I'm glad you enjoyed

one of the unusual instruments is the nyckelharpa, keyed fiddle.
I like the wooden clacky sound of the keys.
another is the hurdy gurdy, which doesn't come through very well in the videos,
but is heard very well in "Alive!"
it's similarish to the nyckelharpa,
but instead of a bow there is a cranked resonated wheel.

I found this the other day, I hope I can get there:

"American Faeries?
Yes...Well...We know...It's true, we said we would never play in the USA, for obvious reasons. But...some very sweet and extremely beguiling American faeries have asked us to join them in their dark celebrations at the Bad Faeries Ball on FaerieCon 2008 in Philadelphia, USA. What could we do? We can't say "no" to faeries (for obvious reasons).
So, we'll come to America, see you all there in October!

3. I don't know how I never heard of Faun before. They're wonderful!
I'm glad that they're coming here. I hope that you can make it there.

I'm having loads of fun checking out their material; their music takes me to another time and place. Thanks for introducing me to them! :)

4. Crab Nebula, I'm absolutely addicted to this group.
I listen to them all day at work, and it really helps me to concentrate, for some reason!

Thank you so much for introducing me to them!

11. Me too!
(well, I can't listen to them all day at work, but I would if I could)

I haven't really noticed if it helps me concentrate,
but for me this music has a way of drawing out emotions like nothing else,
and always in a good way, be it ecstatic joy or cathartic weeping.
I've always been very sensitive to sound, and I'm very watery,
but nothing moves me like these bands;
they are magical, and sharing them makes me happy.

5. So glad you bumped this post Dream!
This one must have slipped through the cracks back in February.
Wow, I love it too! Glad it's helping you Dream.
Music can be so healing....elixir for the soul.
Some instruments that are new to my ear too!
Gotta get me some Faun.

Thanks for posting!:hi:

7. I made a quick playlist that I've been playing. I'm sure that there are even...
more wonderful songs that they've done. (I'll have to spend some more time checking them out.)

Here's my playlist:

12. I just found this one a couple days ago
Omnia - "Fairy Tale"

it is beautiful bitter-sweet.

8. How did you know?
You nailed it. I also liked the Omnia songs, and have been listening to them both at Amazon trying to decide which CD to purchase. Any suggestions? I'll check out your play list.

I love eclectic 'world/ethnic music' in general, and the young people in my life are usually the ones who keep me up to date on what's happening musically. Guess I'm gonna add you to the list of recommenders, lol! Thanks for spotting this, and to Crab Nebula for sharing. I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had the opportunity to shop around for new tunes, so I'm glad to know about these bands. THANKS! :hi:

9. I liked the Omnia music also. (I even have one of their songs in my playlist.)
I need to check them out more.

I don't know how I knew that you'd like this music. It just seemed *you*. :)

10. Well Darn!
Amazon and other internet music store sites don't carry the Faun CD titled "Licht" or Light, which has all the good songs on it. And with dial up computer it would take FOREVER to download an MP3. May have to actually go to a real music store to find it. I enjoyed your playlist!
