More on David Icke and a couple questions
I see that my last post generated LOTS of viewings and some comments and I thank you all for your thoughts. I am still working my way through "Prisons to Paradise" and have ordered a couple of his books. I spent about an hour at Barnes & Noble yesterday skimming a couple and am looking forward to diving into them. I find that I truly LOVE the study of the symbology of ancient cultures and how it shows up again and again in our era. And I totally get that the message the Illuminati wish to spread is done so mainly through those symbols. Interesting stuff, that.

One of the things that poked at me is that he mentions Al Gore as being part of the Illuminati. If that is true, oh man. That killed me. It's been my feeling that Gore was a man of principle and integrity. So, to have that presented to me was a hard thing for me to wrap my head around. I'd love to hear what you all think about it.

And more to the point, though, is what can WE do to allow more light to shine into those dark places? I try to walk my talk and so many of you here seem to do the same. It's one of the reasons I love this forum on DU. It's respectful and yet offers new ideas and concepts without judgment. I can see that we as a society are much more "awake" than ever before but there's still much to do.

How do YOU bring light into your daily life?

All thoughts and comments are welcomed.

1. grains of salt
I love the Illuminati stuff but you just have to take it with many, many grains of salt. Every single major candidate for POTUS would meet the Illuminati criteria for Icke, most likely. What is really funny is to contrast Icke, with Alex Jones. They agree on so many things, and are extreme in so many things, but Icke goes off into his lizard stuff, and Alex is just "Whaaaaa?"

One of the big themes of all of these guys is that humans causing global warming primarily is a hoax, that all the planets are warming up, and that a carbon tax is a back door way for more globalization, and global control--in fact, it is a global tax that in the end will be used to break down national borders. While I find this an interesting point of view, ultimately I reject it. However, I think that this is something to watch, very carefully.

I like to bring light into my life by removing the dark. Light will shine anywhere that when the dark is removed. It is amazing how much power we have. We just have to figure out some ways to use it. Sometimes I feel like a pseudoscientifically based, unemotional type exorcist (of sorts). But unlike exorcists, I don't "battle" or talk/think in terms of the devil or anything like that. I'm not sure of the ultimate source of the negative, but everything has energy. BTW, I was always really fascinated by the story of Pandora's Box as a kid.

3. I don't know if Gore
is part of the Illuminati or not. If he is, he is obviously not as important or powerful as George Bush. Look who was given the office.

I tend to agree with the scientists that say that global warming is not the impending disaster that Gore et al indicate, and that it is not caused by man made CO2, but is a natural cycle of the Earth. That doesn't mean that we aren't facing some dire environmental issues, however. If I'm not mistaken, Tsarion claims the warming is caused by the Illuminati itself, by means such as the bombardment of space with Telsa waves, etc. I also agree with the Russians that the US wanting to shoot down a satellite is not for purely humanitarian reasons. I know for a fact that man made rain in Texas produced floods that killed people. I think we are told very little of truth.

Reading those books may frighten you even more. The whole ordeal is very sinister.

4. !!Wow!!
See..I have been hesitant to talk about my personal belief about global warming, but since we seem to agree in a way, and you've been so brave to say so, here goes:

I, too, actually think it's not really exactly what has been told to us..I do think Mother Nature has things in hand. BUT, I think that isn't the point. The POINT is that we, regardless of what is going on right now, absolutely need to learn as a whole to take better care of the earth and to work in harmony with her, instead of the way we are currently doing things, which is so non-spiritual and separated from her loving energy. I think the issue of global warming is the catalyst to motivate us toward the spiritual change we need to make; the spiritual growth step we are working on. The movement is a wonderful, and effective, way to bring us together as a whole planet, not just individual factions fussing and fighting, and being harmful to each other and the earth. I think it falls in line with what Karen and the others have been saying: we, along with the living entity Earth, have chosen to take the next step in vibration together, and this is the vehicle to take us there (or a big part of it). Ultimately, we must come together for something, and this is a good cause to make us aware of the innate divinity of the Earth, and of ourselves. The Earth could choose to shake us off like a bad case of the fleas, if she had so chosen. We've been told that she has not taken that path - and we should be very grateful.

I know that some species have chosen to be part of this transition by leaving, and I appreciate their contribution, but it makes me sad that future generations may not know of them at all.

IF Al Gore is a member of the Illuminati, I honestly believe he may be working from the inside to change it/us/whatever. Using the power structure for a greater good. It could be so transparent to us because they (the power structure) think that it doesn't matter - they hold enough power to do things their way anyway. And to a point, they've been right. They may be letting him gather so much goodwill because it keeps the populace happy. I have faith that he knows exactly, NOW, what he is dealing with, and is an expert manipulator of the system. A good double agent, as it were. WE are the ones who have to give him the boost, when it is time, to break free of the establishment.

In other words, I think with Gore, they may have just assumed too much, and overreached themselves. We know for a fact that the current crop in the WH and etc. have certainly done so.

We shall see....

5. The fact that Al Gore is not seeking a position of power
speaks volumes to me.

The one thing I remember from the lone philosophy course I took as an undergrad is: "Those who seek positions of power are by their very nature suspect." Not sure why I only remember this little tidbit, but, it has stuck with me so much so that I am convinced that the best leader we could have is someone who doesn't want to lead -- someone who has to be coaxed into running for president.

I also agree that we have not been told anything resembling truth, including the facts behind global warming.

It IS up to us to take care of our precious planet.

6. We agree a great deal.
I've been hesitant to talk about my views here also. And, they have changed a couple of times. I had a link to Gore's movie in my sig line for awhile. But I watched more and read more, and now believe the scientists who are being SILENCED by the government. Any time the gov is blocking someone, I sure want to know what they have to say. One scientist quit a project because he did not agree with the findings they planned to publish. His name was included on the report anyway. He is suing to have it removed. More have been fired and blackballed for not agreeing. The government wants us to hear their story and only their story. So many tragedies through the history of our nation of enlightened ones who's only dream was to assist humanity have been silenced, imprisoned and worse. It makes me so sad for us.

And, yes.. remember the skeptic who posted here about the planet and how she is so much more powerful than we? That coming from a skeptic. That was one of the best posts I've ever read.

I hadn't heard what IJM posted above about the global warming being an issue to create one world government. If it isn't this situation, it will be another, and like you say, we might as well try to get some sensible laws on the books and people working together to honor our Mother.

I hadn't thought of that aspect to the Gore/Illuminati possible linkage. I had heard that about Gore before I read the OP. Some of the right wing sites shred Gore. I absolutely do not believe the extremes they report as fact. I hope you're right about that.
