1. What kind are you looking for? tinctures, herbs in caps or teas?
Or something else?

If you just want plain herbs in tinctures, teas or capsules there are many sites. here are a few:

http://vitacost.com http://swansonvitamins.com http://luckyvitamin.com http://iherb.com

Also Consumer Lab tests vitamins and some herbal products to see which brands have what they promise or are adulterated. You have to join to read the entire report but they will provide partial reports which can give you an idea of which brands are trustworthy - http://consumerlab.com

2. Here are a couple that I use
www.vitacost.com
www.iherb.com
www.lef.org

These are all for general supplements, not just herbs. They're also for packaged, brand-name products like you'd get in a health food store, not something like custom-mixed Chinese herbal remedies. If you're looking for that, I can't help.

The first two on my list have very good selection and very good prices. LEF (Life Extension Foundation) generally has pretty high prices but some of their products are rather unique and they tend to have new things before others do.

3. my favorites
www.iherb.com

www.swansonvitamins.com

www.bayho.com

I seem to use the first and third one of these the most, but have used all of them with no problems.

5. If you're interested in quality, and in supporting a home business,
you might want to check out Black Kat Herbs. The owner, Sandi, is an old friend of mine. She makes some of what she sells herself (salves, tinctures, etc.), and it's all great. She's also good at tracking stuff down for you if you can't find what you need or want, and is incredibly knowledgeable as an herbalist. If you'd like a personal touch, and high quality at the same time, I can recommend her. She's "good people." Here's a link to her site:

6. If you're interested in some formulations of herbal remedies,
here's a place you might contact. This is a newspaper article but you can find out enough to contact them if you want to. I know the owner and have tried some of his remedies (cold and flue stuff once) and they are very good, the same effect as the over-the-counter stuff with fewer side effects. He can formulate something for you to your specifications if you call and talk with him.

I also like the Edgar Cayce remedies and suggestions. You can find that out by going to the Cayce web site and clicking around for the Barr products.

Home Health Products in VA Beach also handles some of the Cayce stuff, tho I don't think they're now the primary handler of Cayce formulas.

Here's a site that will get you to Home Health I think:

Here's the ARE (Cayce) web site:

7. Try this:
http://wwww.bulkherbstore.com

They have a section where you can look up an ailment and see what herb is best for that
particular problem.

I use it all the time.
