1. off the top of my head
Saturn moves into position to square Barack's Moon (and oppose Michelle's Venus) a week or so before the April 22nd Primary and hangs out there all the way until the end of May. At the same time, he's also sextile Hillary's Sun, so ... what's it all mean?

In short, Barack and Michelle ain't too happy (Saturn square his emotional Moon and opposing her Venus) and Hillary is receiving a MAJOR dose of support (sextile) for her efforts (Saturn).

Oh! And I found this interesting as well. When Barack surprisingly lost NH in January, the transiting South Node was conjunct his Secondary Progressed Uranus. In April, during this Primary, the same transiting South Node will be conjunct his Natal Uranus. It may mean nothing at the end of the day, but I found it interesting enough to mention.

I'll take a more in-depth look at their charts later, but wanted to offer what I remembered off the top of my head.

:hide:

If Hillary wins PA, she'll have taken all the big Blue and Purple states but could still be behind on delegates

strange days indeed

5. there is something that causes Barack to be depressed
beginning in mid-April. I'm not sure if it's an event or a suddenly combative Press or even just the natural frustration he would feel if he thinks he should have this in the bag by now. But there definitely is something that causes him to lose the bounce in his step, that interrupts his stride, that engenders a sense of worry, of extreme doubt, of depression.

And it shows up in Michelle's chart as well with this Saturn opposite her Venus, so it's not just Barack being effected. It's her as well.

As Pennsylvania is a Closed Primary as well as just a Primary and not a Caucus, perhaps the frustration he'll feel is the inability of is campaign to make the necessary in-roads into her surprisingly strong Democratic base. I don't know. But I do know something happens which changes EVERYTHING.

The race we thought we'd have a month ago is turned on it's head with shocking results by June/July.

7. well, with the info coming out in the first few days
eg. his 1.5 million dollar bribe to the ex-Minister of Electricity in Iraq to get a contract in that country, the potential for Guilt by Association (which I don't agree with, but it is a reality in our World) is there.

But there may be something that happens that causes people to realize one does need someone with more experience in the White House. Only time will tell, I guess.

9. Patrick Fitzgerald already exhonerated Obama. Get with the program.
Big story recently in either Raw Story or Alternet.

11. get with the program?
I don't recall saying Barack was guilty of anything, so what program, exactly, do I need to "get with"?

This unfortunately confrontational knee-jerk attack attitude is exactly the kind of b.s. that keeps me away from DU for days on end.

If you disagree with the premise of the original Thread, why bother kicking up dust just for the fun of it?

10. My pov is that Hillary will take PA and Obama is now
really on the defensive-this is a defining moment for HIM now - not Hillary.

12. the storyline is changing, katty
and Barack will now find himself having to live up to the expectations he so skillfully created and allowed others to create around him (very Neptune, by the way) all the while walking that wobbly tightrope between continuing to inspire and keep that "Movement" alive and well while delving into the detail-oriented facts of WonkWorld in order to prove he has what it takes to compete against the Queen of Wonk, Hillary. I'm not sure -- looking at the astrology for this time period -- that it'll be as successful as he needs it to be. And, perhaps, some of his frustration and irritation is to be found with this.

The problem is that once people see the cracks in the facade and the fact that their idol has feet of clay, they may feel disappointed, depressed or even deceived. And it's always easier to back the one who looks like their winning and not the one struggling, right? For one who may find himself fighting for his political life, in a way, that's not exactly the best environment with which to gather support or create "momentum".

13. indeed, it is changing and he will
have to not only 'define' himself vigorously but defend himself (something that his Leo sun/NN Leo truly resents having to do). His sun in Leo is all about him seeing himself as entitled to be president, he is idealistic and appears 'above the fray' - Hillary, the Scorpio, has called him out now-let's see what you've really got, Barack?-go for it. I just don't see Neptune on his ASC as 'a fighter', and unfortunately that is the bloodsport called politics. He will get alot more mud slung at him from McCain-Hillary is nothing compared to what the GOP will do to him. He cannot stay about the fray after last night. (of course, I have a natal sun/mars conj.ha! and thanks for your continuing great posts!)
