Happy birthday to me!

I've figured out that when you get to be my age, you should just go ahead and celebrate for the whole durn month.

So, last weekend my beloved and I went to see a performance by Craig Ferguson on Friday.

Saturday, my daughters took me to a women's spa for a Korean salt scrub. This is the fifth year they've done that for my birthday present.

Sunday we went to Cirque Du Soleil. I bought the tickets months ago and took the whole family. There were 16 of us! It was their Christmas present. Haven't ever done anything that big before.

Thursday evening my beloved and I went to dinner. I highly recommend Tony Starlight's Supper Club in Portland, Oregon. Fabulous jazz and standards. And one of the singers was a music teacher, who, I kid you not, sat at a table between her performances and graded papers.

We went to Livewire last night. It's a comedy/variety radio show that is broadcast on OPB.

On Tuesday night we go back to the Aladdin Theater to see Saul Williams perform. The best spoken word artist. If you ever get the chance to see him, I swear he's the Shakespeare of our time.

And on the 29th we take one of our daughters and son-in-law to see the Asylum Street Spankers.


What a month of fabulous fun. I say celebrate great!

and this afternoon I made a trip to see my parents just to wish my mother happy birthing day. They were surprised and happy to see me.

I just love Craig Ferguson...My daughter and I saw him last fall...Made us laugh-the best medicine...I agree the celebration should last the whole durn month....I spent my birthday viewing a collection of photogrphers from WW II era where they developed new photography techniques, and it was said then that photography whould replace painters, because photography was embrassed by many back then as the new progressive art form.
