Something I didn't expect to like about the energies of 2008...
Edited on Sat May-10-08 10:38 AM by BlueIris
This North Node in Aquarius thing totally rocks.

I confess, for the most part, I don't love Aquarius energy overly much. There are some things about it that really rub me the wrong way. When I read that the North Node would be moving into Aquarius, I went, "Goddamnit. I had just gotten used to it in Pisces! And I hate Aquarius. Flaky, always so obsessed with friends, being together and sharing and stuff. I'm done with that for now, thank you. Had enough of it to last a lifetime—back off, water spillers!"

Yes, I was overreacting. And I had forgotten all the cool things about Aquarianness that I can just feel lightly infusing the atmosphere everywhere I go these days. Like the nice "practically everyone's your friend a little bit" vibe I encounter in many places, most notably within the crowd of strangers I hung out with last month while waiting for a Bill Clinton speech to start, who were all offering to do polite favors for one another every five minutes ("Want me to hold your place in line while you go smoke a cigarette?" "Here, have some of my asprin—use my drink!"). Or the woman who saw me taking a flower essence in a parking lot the other day and asked in passing, "Is that for smoking cessation?" Normally, I'm irritated when people I don't know bug me on the street, but she was too adorably inquisitive for me to get mad. I explained it was just for stress; she seemed thrilled with this new knowledge.

I was expecting more boundary-less Water; instead, I've found, er...less-need-for-boundaries Air. It's great.

1. This is wonderful, BI.
I have to tell you that I've noticed that you seem happier and more content this year than you have over the past couple of years. I've been so happy for you! (I hesitated to say it before because I didn't want to jinx it, but I felt compelled to share my observation with you.)

:)

2. Oh, I doubt you could jinx it.
So feel free to congratulate away!

I hope the Aquarian vibe is treating you equally well.

3. I've always really liked the vibe of Aquarius...

so I'm feeling really good about it. I have a wonderful group with which I'm learning astrology (which ricochetastroman teaches), and it's been a real blessing. I had been asking to find more like-minded people locally, and the Universe certainly delivered when it connected me with ricochetastroman and his community.

You're obviously doing something right, so congratulations on the fruits of your efforts, BI.

:woohoo:

:yourock:

:applause:

:bounce:

(Oh, and on edit, when you actually do finish your novel, I can't wait to read it; you have a real way with words. I'm sure that you already know it, but it always feels good to hear it from others so I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your gift.)

4. Hardly know enough about astrology to comment
But I'm glad 2008 is agreeing with you.

Maybe this is why I now actually like going to the Tennessee River. I seem to be just liking water more. Or it could be that it is spring. My husband loves to fish for bass. I don't like to fish, but I am waiting for the river to warm up a bit, and the snakes to get lazier. Then I'll start kayaking. For some reason all this appeals to me more now than, say, a year ago.

But I am getting a little tired of the rain.
