I think it's time to whitelight both candidates again.

Since I woke up at an ill-fated 3 a.m. on Wednesday, I've been stuck with a not-so-great feeling. It's still with me even though my own personal troubles have gone by the wayside for now. The air outside feels dark like I imagine the air in 1940 must have felt dark, or like it must have felt in 1931, the walls closing in with no end in sight.

This isn't the vibe I wanted to have while kicking off my 29th year. It's not the vibe I want to have going into the summer before an election that may not be the most important of our time, but is nevertheless essential for the Democrats and all others who consider themselves progressive, liberal or spiritual in any sense of those terms.

It's...not a good vibe. Let's do what we can to improve it.
