Someone on that thread said he was able to use the phone and cancel his lunch plans. If true, that's a good sign. Stroke is not the boogy man it used to be. If caught quickly enough - which I think this was if he sent to the hospital so quickly - he could have a full recovery.

7. Late reports were that it was a seizure.

They are trying to determine what caused the seizure.

One DUer said that a couple of months ago Ted Kennedy had a procedure done to clear out arterial blockage in the neck (carotids, I think that is...) I think I vaguely remember hearing something about it in the news, too. That Duer went on to say that at the time the statement was made that the procedure could leave him more vulnerable to seizures.

IF that is the root cause of this seizure yesterday then maybe this is a bad scare but something controllable.

I'm holding Ted Kennedy, the family and Massachusetts in my heart. May he recover quickly.

It makes me so sad to hear of Ted Kennedy's illness. I know his family will surround him with love, and comfort, and may heaven give him peace of mind for whatever decisions he will have to make regarding treatment. God bless this good man who has worked tirelessly as a defender of liberty.
