My credit card statement never arrived in the mail, and what with all the pneumonia and stomach viruses and visits to emergency this past week, I plum forgot about it. Crap. Crossing fingers and toes they don't increase our interest rate...POUT!

A credit card company employee in the Lounge said that credit card companies are bound by law to credit the late fee if you tell them you didn't get your statement in the mail. I never knew that! I sent a message through the Web site after I made my payment online tonight, but I'm going to call them Monday morning to make sure that's the case.

The time that it happened to me, they said that they knew that there had been problems on their side, but until then, my heart was in my throat because I thought that they wouldn't believe me when I told them that I hadn't received it.

I'm still worried about it, although I think my pretty stellar track record for so many years has to count for something. Heck, lately when I've been swamped with work and wasn't sure if the check would get to them on time, I've gone directly to a Bank of America and paid it at the teller. I am nothing if not conscientious! :D

13. I've never been happier since I set up my online banking and bill-paying.

I hated balancing and trying to remember when I wrote checks as opposed to when I used my ATM. So now the computer keeps track of all that.

But if anyone wants to get started with that, I suggest waiting till Mercury goes direct!!!!!

6. wow, you're not alone- the same thing happened to me

my kids took turns with strep throat, then croup, then stomach viruses (that wouldn't go away!), and then pneumonia all through may and so far in june, complete with high fevers and everything, several trips to ER and to have lab work and x-rays done. they knew me well in admit at the hospital by friday when i took the last sickling to have a follow up xray.

and i forgot about some bills and raaaaahhh! the maxed out card i paid down last month is now over the limit due to late fees and other charges!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a rough month it's been...and now i think I'VE got pneumonia...

7. Yes! What the heck IS that stomach virus?

My mom had it on Memorial Day, I got it two days later, and MG Jr. got it that Friday, and none of us has recovered completely yet. I just got back from the grocery store, and the only food I bought was bread products and bottled water and cans of Coke. I had rice cooked in chicken broth for dinner last night. Jr. has been living on bagels and Cheerios and crackers. Pneumonia Boy, Mr. MG, is eating better than we are! I'm looking on the bright side, that I lost 6 lbs., but come on--enough is enough already!

So sorry you're still suffering--I hope you don't have pneumonia. Please take care of yourself, even though it's hard when you're taking care of kids. :hug:

10. physical ailments?

Are minor injuries related to this? Besides my daughter hurting her back, I was just getting over a torn muscle in my arm from catching a heavy piece of driftwood tossed to me by my husband. Then I went on a walk and turned my ankle by stepping in a hole. I am debating whether to get it Xrayed or not. I can put weight on it but can move it only if there is not weight on it. I think it's sprained, but can't be sure. I borrowed a boot from my daughter. My husband is not being sympathetic enough to suit me!!

11. I was wondering about illnesses during Merc ret

Injuries can be related to Mercury retrograde due to general clumsiness (sorry to hear about your arm and ankle and your daughter's back!) but I have never heard about illnesses being more prevalent during Merc ret. Hey astrologers, can some other aspects mixed in with Merc ret affect general health? I have been wondering about this ever since my family got laid low by all the icky sickies last week/this week.
