I had a dream about a tower collapsing...
I know the tower is a tarot symbol, but I don't know much about it, so I thought I'd post it here.

I dreamed my husband and I were staying in a hotel that was either a twelve- or twenty-story stone tower. Our room was on the top floor. I was nervous because the tower kept swaying, and stones kept breaking off at the third story and falling to the ground. I was the only one worried about this - everyone else was acting like things were fine. But I took my husband and we hustled outside, and soon after the tower cracked off at the third story, the top crashing to the ground. I asked if anyone had been injured or killed, but the hotel's desk clerk just shrugged. She did say we wouldn't be charged for any additional nights, since the remains of our room were now strewn all over the parking lot. Weird...

1. The Tower
It refers to forced change, with the structures of our life falling apart. The positive part is that the removal of the old structures makes way for new, improved structures.
Here's a site on tarot interpretation:http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/learn/meanings/tower.shtml

My guess is that this dream refers to our society, not your personal life, although it will affect it. Over the past year, it has become clear that the structures of our society are nothing but illusions. People planned retirement very carefully, putting money in 401ks and other investments but now find they are close to worthless. People who were once wealthy now find themselves poor because their money was put into a Ponzi scheme. Even the value of our real property, a tangible item, can no longer be defined in the old terms of money because it is increasingly hard to buy or sell property. The veil normally covering our elite is becoming clear since the current administration is siphoning off money to an elite, whom they will not identify.
Our illusory structures are indeed falling apart.

2. I had a similar dream last night
I dreamed there were upper floors above my house (which don't exist in real life) and that I was exploring them and finding all kinds of horrible tacky 1960s-70s junk left by the previous owners (who moved out 10 years ago). Our house is actually a rambler, but I dreamed it was a high-rise.

In my dream the building began swaying, just a little at first, and then began to slowly collapse. My family and I got out safely, and so did other residents on upper floors. But I can't recall why it was shaking or what happened next, only that the place was surrounded by emergency vehicles.

3. Wonderful dreams!
And so 'Pluto in Capricorn' astrologically speaking. And of course the archetype of the Tower
is so powerful. Did you read Wickfordbard's New Moon report? In the last paragraph she says:

"Are you paying attention to your 12 days of Christmas dreams? They represent the 12 astrological months – they are a prophetic tools available to you during this season of endings and beginnings. If you need help understanding your dreams, consider a dream session with me.
Call me at 310-741-7013 or email me at cathy@imaginecoachingservices.com to set up an appointment."

Perhaps the numbers 3/12 are related to those months? Not sure what 20 means, but numerologically it would be interpreted as the sum of those digits which is '2'.

Anyway, perhaps Wickfordbard has some thoughts on that.

4. that's because we have now entered the Tower.
i've been saying we should be entering this symbol since this past summer. we should definitely be into it now. probably hitting its full stride about now.

i like your dream by the way. entertaining and slightly humorous in a surrealist way. :hi:

5. I think the whole infrastructure of the Republican Party is
falling apart as symbolized by the top crashing to the ground. The fact that no one was upset was because nobody cares about them. You will lose some material wealth, because of the crash, however, since you aren't being charged for it, it appears that it will be a temporary loss.

6. Third floor
Sounds like it's standing in for our 3-D reality, which is definitely falling apart. We're in for a new sort of reality, right enough!

I like the fact that the desk clerk was entirely unconcerned.

Great dream, SIS. Thanks for sharing it. :hi:

7. If it were my dream (and I've had some dreams of tall bldgs collapsing),
Edited on Mon Dec-29-08 05:14 PM by Stevepol
I'd see it as a dream of coming down to earth, of getting out of the higher csness and into the earth csness. A high bldg wd represent for me an organization or institution (or the way of thinking found in a time-worn institution like a college or a system of thinking, religious or metaphysical or whatnot), and its collapse would be its loss of meaning or relevance and the need to connect again with basic human feelings and energies.

In your dream the bldg cd represent the breakdown of some temporary (hotel) system or such that you and husband have been using to get some elevation and comprehend more. Evidently, you're quite prepared for it when it happens and don't suffer for it, don't lose anything of value to you when it goes.

The third floor to me would represent the spiritual, as opposed to the physical (floor 1) or the mental (floor 2).
