Hi Everyone....
I'm new at posting here, but have been around for a while. This is my favorite discussion group and the one I most relate to at DU. It's a haven for me after everything right-brained. What has prompted my post today is the recent passing of my 6 mo. old Doberman pup, Chloe, on Saturday. Just needed some support, so here I am. Thanks for being here.

1. I'm so sorry that you lost your friend, dolphinsong.
Edited on Mon Mar-02-09 10:48 PM by I Have A Dream
I'm asking the Universe to help sweet Chloe to easily pass over and to help her to be at peace. I'm also asking the Universe to help you to get through your grief so that you can get to the point where your memories of her only bring you joy rather than reopening the wound of loss. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

I hope that Chloe visits you just to let you know that she's still there with you in spirit.

(Welcome to the group, dolphinsong.)

5. The hardest thing about losing one's FurBaby is when they go while still Babies
My Sweet little Kagome was a sickly feral kitty, I tried everything in my power to nurse her back to health. She only made it a little over a year. I guess it's still painful for me because I tried so hard to help her, but the hardest part is knowing that she never got to live a full life, and seeing her brother Inuyasha and sister Sango everyday reminds me of her and how Kagome never had the same chance as her brother and sister.

I'm sure Chloe will always be with you and she like Kagome will return to you someday, if that is what you want and the Cosmos grants you your desire to be together again. I'm sending you healing vibes and white light to help you through this difficult time.

Thanks for posting dolphinsong285, and welcome to ASHA:hi: I hope to see more of your post.

Namaste

:loveya:

6. Oh, I'm sorry about Kagome
I know what you mean about their youth. So much life to look forward to. Chloe ingested something, made it through her surgery quite well, and then suddenly she was gone. Her veterinarian (he is a conventional vet, but I've never seen someone connect the way he does with animals) is absolutely devastated. Even when you know it's their time, it is still hard to take. It's funny, isn't it, how the animals who are barely cared for and cross the highway 20 times a day, manage to stay for years and years?
Thank you for your kindness. Healing energy to you as well, and thank you for your kind welcome.
P.S. You know, bits of a Beatles' song keep cropping up:
"I Will" "Who knows how long I've loved you? You know I love you still. Will I wait a lonely lifetime? If you want me to I will....."And if by chance I find you, your song will fill the air. Sing it loud, so I can hear you. Make it easy to be near you...." and the chorus: "Love you forever and forever, love you with all my heart. Love you whenever we're together, love you when we're apart..." I've forgotten a good bit of it.
Love and Peace to you, Namaste.

7. Survival of the strong willed, sometimes it makes you wonder why that is
Why some animals and humans survive into old age, while others die so young. I've never figured it out. Or why the meanest people never seem to die young, but the most loving people are called away. That has always bothered me.

Anyway, thanks for your kind words:hug:

I Will (the rest of the lyrics, which you did pretty good writing them from memory) ;)

Who knows how long I've loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely lifetime
If you want me to--I will.

You know if I ever saw you
I didn't catch your name
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same.

Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we're together
Love you with all my heart.

And when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Bring it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear me to you
How you know I will
I will.

Namaste

8. Dolphinsong, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your Chloe...
Edited on Tue Mar-03-09 01:23 AM by Silver Gaia
My heart is with you.

ETA: As I was hitting the "Post message" button, I happened to glance out the window next to my desk, and for one fleeting moment saw the clouds part and the moon shining bright in the stormy night sky. A singular moment of sublime beauty... A momentary parting of the veil... A message I knew I should share with you. Blessings to you and to Chloe...

23. I'm so sorry.
Chloe. What a beautiful name. Bless her heart. I know it's painful for you, but your dog had love while she was here, and sadly, that is more than creatures so eager and willing to give us their unconditional love and devotion get in their lifetimes.

It's so hard losing a pet. It doesn't matter how long or short a time you've had them. It hurts losing your sweet-faced furry friend. I hope you know that a lot of people here understand what you are going through, because we've been through it.
