Help!

I've lost the key and most important computer disc for my office. I had it at the apartment, but what with the ice storm and no electricity and all, it has disappeared from its usual place. I don't remember moving it, but it is gone! Any insights on where it could be will be greatly appreciated! I've done the prayer to St. Anthony, but I hope the Saint won't mind if he has a bit of help on this plane. Thanks in advance!

It was in a safe place then. If I moved it during the storm, it was because I was restless and cleaned house. I had it at home so it would be safe just in case the office was broken into or damaged by some natural catastrophe.

I know that isn't the case, as another disc is in there. And it isn't in my personal computer because I've used the disc drive to play music.

And if so, could it have slid off the surface and fallen behind the piece of furniture?

and I've taken everyone off the floor around it.

6. when I lose things

it is a sign that I need to straighten up and de-clutter. It doesn't matter how straightened up everything already seems to be, I straighten up again, more thoroughly. If everything is already straightened up, it's time to clean under and behind all furniture where thing could be lurking.

Worst case, it's time to clean the fridge and freezer. One never knows what I've accidentally put in there...

I am extremely myopic and cannot see clearly without glasses, so they are always on my face until I go to bed. And the disc wasn't on my nightstand--but it was a good thought. My husband, on the other hand, wears only reading glasses, and is always placing them somewhere. He's looked around his computer, but I'm wondering if perhaps the disc is in his stuff.

I'm really not trying to be funny but whenever I hear about number 7, I think of Mickey Mantle. COuld you have a photo or souvenir of MM which could be hiding the missing item?

anticipating you'd need to be bringing it back to work? I lose stuff all the time in my purse and/or pockets. It's like there's a black hole where this stuff hides until you are sure you've looked at least a dozen times.

moving it and they're BOTH gone, that sounds like you moved them to another "safe" place and forgot? If you were doing that now, where would that safe place be?

The books for the program are on a shelf at the office, where I thought the disc was. I'll look there again. I dreamed that the disc wasn't in its box but in a white envelope, so will search again today.

I went ahead and bought a replacement disc. Luckily, it cost a lot less than the $300 + dollars the original disc cost!

What I was seeing was a stack of envelope sized items sitting on a desk with a pair of glasses on top of them. Not that it makes much difference now, but maybe they'll turn up soon.

Which is fine. I have closure, and learned a lot from the experience, namely not to take it personally, and not to assume others would be as upset and disappointed as I was.
