Vibes Request for my Grandmother - fell and banged her head, being kept overnight in hospital

She tripped or slipped at a fast food place, she doesn't remember falling and hitting her head. So far the doctors think she is OK but want to keep a close eye on her as she is 90 and had a heart attack just two years ago. She is the sort who can't stand to have anything done to help them but wear themselves out helping others.

Prayers, good vibes, reiki and any other good energy sent her way is welcome. Thank you all :grouphug:

Your Grandma sounds like an amazing lady. I am glad her docs are taking such good care of her.

After this recent case with Natasha RIchardson's death maybe we are all a bit more aware of the serious nature of head injuries. I suppose maybe there is some good that comes of tragedy if that loss protects people like your Grandma.

8. She has a big knot on the back of her head and keeps trying to talk them into letitng her go home

They refuse of course and will be doing more tests tomorrow. They don't know why she fell and she doesn't know either. When she first came to she couldn't remember who she was :( Thankfully she had the cell phone my older sister bought her even if she then refused to cooperate with learning to use it as the rescue people helped her call my sister to tell her what was going on. I am going to make sure my MOM has one of us on her cell's phone book under ICE just in case!


Thank you all so much. I am so thankful I could come here and know people would respond. My Grandmother is tough but she does need help even if she won't admit it often!

21. She is doing pretty good but has a fever, more tests to be done so at least one more night

The doctor took her off two of her medications her usual doctor had her on saying they were too strong for her. One was for high blood pressure and now it is testing too low. They also gave her potassium as her blood work showed that was way down. It looks like her medical team at the hospital are on the ball so that makes us all feel better. As much as my Grandmother dislikes it I would rather have over cautious doctors than ones trying to get her out before finding out what is really going on.

I can't thank you all enough for all the prayers and good energy sent my Grandmothers way. I know it is helping her and helping the medical team give her the best :)

23. She was sent home today and everything looks OK - and she is off to bingo now!

and insisted on having her hair done this afternoon! I love the woman but she is sooooo stubborn!!! At least she promised the next time she wants fast food she is going through the drive thru!
