Everything shifts on Monday

Saturn has been traveling in Virgo
It has been opposite all the other planets
This has been making Saturn extra strong
It "makes" us feel like keeping our noses to the grindstone
We also had little choice
We've mostly been behaving and trying get things done and be very realistic
On Monday, April 13, Mars will be one degree from conjuncting transiting Uranus.
The pendulum will swing, the see-saw will tilt DRAMATICALLY AND SUDDENLY in the other direction
We will have grown tired of the tedium
Time to break free, to stop being so careful
Let go and liberate
You will notice this within, in your family, and in the "outer" world
There is no reason to fear
It is a voice within that WANTS OUT
Let it.
Also during this time, that's why guns have abounded, Mars/Uranus combinations rule guns
No worries, just be careful around them, all cutting instruments and watch other drivers closely on Monday and Tuesday
The overall meaning is that we've been PREPARING the groundwork getting ready to launch, time to launch
Twill be interesting to hear from all of you next week as to what "happened"
Good luck
Have fun
Have a great Easter

1. Good Grief, I'm going through this now.
Tired of working, tired of the same routine every blessed day for the last 2 months. I so want to stop working so much but don't want to complain because there are so many without. Interesting that it does come to a head on Sunday and the magnitude will decrease - a bit.
Thanks for this explanation, Ricochetastroman. It really helps put things in perspective. Well, back to the grindstone :)

2. Going on vacation on Tuesday!
Talk about breaking free--no work for nearly a week, plus expecting to spend money like water (Orlando + 5 YO + Lego Store = $$$). Trying desperately to foster detachment from those little pieces of green paper that make the world go round.

Thanks, Rick! Have a great Easter yourself! :hi:

I walked into the bathroom in the middle of the night.
Flipped on the light switch.
And a robotized-light-sensor Logo-bot shot me in the head with some kind of nerf weapon.

And I paid for it. :woohoo:

14. This shifting started for me Wednesday night
Think my husband and I have come to break thru with finances and work. Finally. After about 16 years. Yeesh. It's just about burned us out but after a year+ of darkness and living on faith that it may someday work out, seems like it may actually do that. I starting a second job that will hopefully blossom into a full time better paying job within the month. What a relief! And his work has won some huge support from another direction that will hopefully help him grow his art business this year. Oh yay... finally. I feel like we have been running a marathon.

Thanks Saturn... that sure was fun but looking forward to the next stint.

Or at least I know where the tension has been building for me.

I think the current hostage/pirate situation off the coast of Africa will be one interesting gauge of how these energies will play out as a response to built up tensions as well.

Do you see the Mars/Uranus conjunction as being a temporary release (letting off steam) or as having a long term effect on direction?

I suppose even a brief shift can have long term effects...ie, like a fault line quake.
Saturn, of course, is not going anywhere as it continues its retrograde passage through Virgo until mid-May at which point it changes direction. I've been feeling as though this direct motion will represent another shift or forward movement on stalled projects and issues put on hold since the first of the year as well, though perhaps not so dramatic a shift as Mars/Uranus.

Venus goes direct next week in addition to the Mars/Uranus conjunction, so I wonder if the steam let
off by Mars/Uranus will tranlate to the relieving of tensions regarding relationship issues in particular, as well as financial stuff?

18. Good questions, hard answers.
Yes to most of your questions, however, I suspect something more. In other words, we simply cannot translate the tension between Uranus and Saturn which happened to peak on 11/4/08!, nor the Mars/Uranus on Monday without overshadowing the whole deal from the viewpoint of PL in Capricorn.

Yes it will release tensions in relationships, at work, money, and at play.

I think the main message here is ANOTHER MAJOR BLOW to the conservative, Republican, hangers-on. Those poor souls who year to return to yesteryears of mythical, pseudo "safety" and Leave it to Beaver are S.O.L.

Twill be painful for those dragging their feet and knuckles.
Twill be wonderful for the wonderful folks here on this wonderful site.

I suggest not analyzing this too closely because too much is at stake and the planets are being are being held together by phenomenal tensions of Plutonian import.

Uranus is basically very simple, although so complex. Are you letting the real you out of the box or not?
That simple.
Or, are you stuffing it back inside due to worrying about your health insurance? Not good.
Time to blow it out and at least let your insides be heard!
Have a good weekend.

the last several months have been tough.
Things lightened up for a week or two only to return doubly. I think most everyone is stressed beyond measure. May we all just take a deep breath, because the only thing I know to do is wait it out.

One thing is certain, things always change and I for one am looking forward to it. :toast: Here's to better times ahead. :hi:

29. I agree Lauren
However, it's not to wait it out. That's what coward Reagan did. He ducked when the energy came by.
The idea is to RIDE THE WAVE, not avoid it.
Stress is all around yes, but I believe that it's because Americans have become very soft, including me. We used to have to bust it just to be fed. Saturn's imprint in Virgo has been to return us to true self-responsibility. I also believe that we got "fat" during the lazy stay of Pluto in Sag which lasted from 1995-2008. Saturn is toughening us up, like a football coach for the changes ahead.
And they're coming, starting in late May. I'll be writing much more about it an am anxious for everyone's 2 cents here.

Keep working, the pressure will subside soon... good luck.

I think we're either dealing or suffering, I don't think I'll choose to suffer. Whatever it is, I'll deal with it, I think my choice of words, wait it out, may have made you think I thought I could hide from circumstances. I just meant that no matter what, it'll eventually change.

I'll be interested in reading more of what you have to say.

34. Yes Lauren, I understand
My comments were directed towards us all, collectively. I'm sure we can be dealing while suffering, What I need to exemplify is the polarity where this Saturn opp. Uranus is taking place.

Saturn has been "winning" in one house of your chart
Uranus w/Mars will start "winning" in the opposite Mon-Wed.

I'll post a new thread now in those terms so people can get an idea.
Thanks

21. Stress? Tension? What EVER could you mean??
LOL!!
Husband and I have alternately been at each other's throats and then...well,let's just say "fire signs tend to be passionate" is an understatement. Our work is hell and we hate that; because we love what we do so much. We are so frustrated that we have both been screaming; and feel like we are hitting our heads repeatedly against a brick wall - esp. him because he has not gotten any confirmation of the 'new' job one way or another. It's been beyond maddening.

I do hope this is a good release of tension..I am going to lift up my head and walk carefully toward it.

Thank you, as always, for the info.

30. Hi IHAD
I don't consider "interesting" a word. As an astrologer, synchronicity with one's "actions" are beyond the mind to reason through. There's only you. I don't know "why" you had to work so much; we'll find out soon, I'm sure, but I'm sure after Monday much of the tedium will break. The fact that you flowed with it all along instead of bitching about it speaks volumes for you. That's how you "work" with the planets.

Enjoy your break dear!

I was just messin' around on a dating site and who should I run across but my old beau. After my shrieking subsided and the shock wore off, I realized HE would be able to see who viewed him. Meaning MY picture would come up. More shrieking.
Then last night I noticed he visited MY profile. He can definitely tell by my profile it is me.

Now all day today reminders of him are popping up. Advertisements on TV that are the same as his daughter's name, etc...very weird.

Both of us Leos. I haven't seen him in 12 years, and yes I still think about him.

I login to DU thinking of asking whether to give him a friendly call and read your timely message.

I take this as a "yes"?

31. Yes, I have your chart.
If you are asking whether this is a "good time" or not to contact him? It's always a "yes" if you feel that it's a "yes". I know that sounds oversimplified, but it's true. What is it IN YOU that wants out? That wants to be expressed? Were you more able to be yourself around him than others? That is the tip-off here.

Your chart has the Saturn opposition to Uranus and Mars going on across the second house (self-worth) and eighth-house (self-worth gathered from combining with others). That means that he may have returned into your life to ENCOURAGE you to maintain your self-worth while in any relationship. Good luck.

37. Not literally, Saturn has been in Leo in the actual sky
Pluto has been in Sag, Neptune in Capricorn has been the source for all the panic & smokescreening in the banking/real estate sectors. But this is the actual sky, not what most astrologers use.

You already know that the Spring Equinox sun went into Pisces, same as when Bush invaded Iraq. That 12th House guy can really mess with our minds.

Is there a different section/thead for simpleton literalists like me, in astrology?

we have this discussion (confusion) all the time -- the difference between where astronomers see the planets and where astrologers "place" (for want of a better word) them.

I don't think there's a separate forum for astrologers here, but maybe you can just share your perspective in various threads, or add your own threads, in this forum. I'm sure it would be welcomed! :D

where the planet is with the background of constellations.
Astrology has little to do with the constellations. Astrology (Western) is based on 0 degrees Aries always being the FIRST DAY OF SPRING; all else is relative to that point.

41. should be interesting...
I started pre-MLT school right about when saturn entered virgo (my 1st house at 23 degrees). Shortly after I started school I had the "dreamtime meetings" (for want of a better term) someone I'd been in love 25 with years ago, and haven't seen for 15 years.

Mid-January is when I learned that one lie in the string of lies by my first advisor meant that it would take an extra year to finish school...which I have no financially acceptable way to do at this point.

30+ pre-MLT applicants are under review right now for MLT -- with only 15 slots available.

Today I finish up work on the inside of my house, leaving only cleaning the garage, raking and finishing cleaning up the barn.

I'd call the realtors on Monday, but I want to wait until things are less muddy and more greened up before I have anyone come visit.

And in the past week I've been feeling, for the first time in ages, the urge to get back to working with my horses. And am anxiously awaiting warm enough temperatures to start taking Jake swimming to help his hips. I was going to try tomorrow, since he's been wading in the swale all week.

Oh, and Monday is when I have class with my oral comms professor (Ms. Saturn to my Uranus )

59. I don't believe it's a matter of...
things being exposed that were hidden. I believe it's more of a matter OF BREAKING THE TEDIUM between Saturn (conservatives) and Uranus (liberals) to use a few tired old words.

Mars is on the side with Uranus (liberal) today and for a few days.

44. Cool. I'm getting a professional astro reading for my bd on Tues.
Technically, my bd was on 3/25, but every few years I like to get a professional reading around my bd to find out what's happenin' in the stars, as it relates to my chart.

I'll be interested to hear how this recent transit is effecting my chart. Thanks for the heads up!

49. I hope this means
that this extended Mercury retrograde I've been experiencing for the past while shifts somewhere else too.

Not only has stuff been happening where nothing works out right, but nothing ever gets resolved either. From hubby being hospitalized and his health not improving much after getting out, to stupider things like finally replacing my 22 yr old car (which I waited until after MR was finished to buy a newer one) and the service department doesn't believe me that there's a problem with the headlights and that fight has been ongoing now for over 3 weeks. Insurance work was just done on the house, and the stupid drywaller dumped a bucket of his gross drywall water into my organic veggie garden, I had to dig it all out and replace the soil. The painter somehow wrecked the caulk on the bathtub which I'd just replaced in the fall and which I'll have to do myself again as I'm sick of tradespeople tromping through the house. I special ordered a needed medical item fit to personal specifications and it arrived made for some giant and will take another 6 or 8 weeks to be redone.

So please, I'm begging you... tell me this is what will shift.

60. There is no way to KNOW what will shift
it's not that simple. With THAT MUCH chaos going on all around you, I'd say there's a big "problem" natally with either/or Saturn and Uranus in your birth chart. Also, there's some resistance going on somewhere, for instance: you or your husband personifies Saturn or Uranus, while the other person personifies the other. You MUST come to compromise; that is where I sense is the problem. One of you keeps "winning". The conservative one, or the liberal one. I suspect the conservative (Saturn) one is dragging their feet.

Planets DO NOT CAUSE OUTER EVENTS. They symbolize inner tension/ease. Look to who is loose, who isn't for your answer. Then, the odds of it clearing up are MUCH greater.

50. interresting... and how far back does the Saturn/Virgo thing go?
I've never been a big astrology buff--my metaphysical/New Age interests go elsewhere--but WE sure have been stuck with our noses to the grindstone these past couple years!!!!

Does this Saturn in Virgo thing stretch back that far?

Well I too will be curious to see what's going on with us all next week.....

55. medical lab technology
I've done everything I possibly could, including maintaining a 4.0 average through all pre-reqs and requirements other than actual MLT courses. And things have gone wrong from day 1 that I could not possibly have imagined -- most recently I was "dropped" from the system right before the selection process for the next group of students begins. This is selection for what was supposed to be "first come/first serve" and has turned into 30+ applications for 15 slots and it's ongoing right now.

It doesn't matter. A few synchronicities, including 2 this morning (and 1 about 5 minutes ago!), is leading back to my original plan when I moved here 6 years ago. I knew some of what I wanted and needed then. Now, through hard experience, I know more of what I need and have learned a lot of skills. Sometimes, I find what Saturn does is give you very hard lessons, and then you get to start all over and this time get it "right" and reap the rewards of your hard work. Fingers crossed. This could be far more personally rewarding to me, I think.

63. far out!
I've had many things that started out terrifically dissolve unexpectedly due to key people suddenly having to leave (all of em, at about the one year mark).... now after 18 years I'm just getting back to one that I really loved. I just gave up too easily in the face of obstacles, maybe, but now I know that about myself. ? Maybe?

So my point is, good on you, for pushing through and knowing what you want!! And yay for those synchronicities :7

73. I wish it was that simple
I feel like "the fix was in" on MLT before I even started. Same as with every "false start" I've had for the last 6 years. I started out so hopeful and have pushed through so many obstacles. But now, even if I get accepted into the program, the price to finish it has gone up by so much (like about 4 times what I'd originally projected) that it's no longer worth the small salary at the back end. I will have totally lost everything by then, and frankly it's not worth it. The point was to be able to keep my home -- or buy another one. It was never to end up flat broke, homeless, and in debt but certified for a job that pays $40K best (and they're managing to cut pay too, so who knows what it will pay in 2-3 years). It increasinly appears that to finish school I'll be working and back to paying rent until I drop dead or hit about 80, whichever comes first. That was *never* the goal or the point.

The synchronicities are in a totally different direction. And I'd love to follow them, and probably will, but fear the new direction will be just another false start. But I probably will follow them, because the MLT is increasingly looking like another false start.

74. NL..
There was a time when my mother, especially, derived some sort of satisfaction from trying to convince me that all my 'false starts' were "wasted time". I couldn't think of them that way. I started an MLT program at one time also. I don't regret not finishing anything I left behind. There is something there to carry forward, experience, wisdom, something, to have made it worthwhile. I hope you find that is the case for you too.

75. thanks, WS
 I think the last 6 years of false leads could lead to something good *if* I have enough after I sell this place to start over somewhere else. There were tremendous lessons learned. But I *must* find a way to earn a living this time around. Even assuming I find/manifest a good barter network and manage to get totally off grid, some things in our society, such as property taxes, simply require cash.

As for the science-basis, who knows where that may lead.

It's just that nothing, so far, as lead to a way of earning a living. Until the last 7 years I've always been a saver, break-even worst case. This is all just so hard to believe...

I still have a license, but physically am unable to practice. There are days when I believe I can still overcome the health stuff.
If not, my kitty still gets the benefits! :D

Off the grid sounds very good to me. Everything has its price, however.

You see, the contrast of Saturn having been in Leo starting 7/16/05 before Saturn went into Virgo was great. Saturn is a real taskmaster anyway, none more than when it is in Virgo. And, this closely correlates to when Pluto entered Capricorn, another tough combo. We (collectively) have become "soft" and Saturn in Virgo is anything but. I call it the "drop and give me 50" planetary combination.

Hopefully, we're all tougher and stronger now. Notice how the US chart was going thru a Saturn return when Carter was in office. He TRIED to tell the Cancer country (July 4) that we had to tighten our belts and face the music of budgetary restraints.

But NO

Cancer USA didn't want to hear it and wanted daddy to solve all problems (Which they found later in Raygun and Bush)

Now, we have evolved, we're going thru another Saturn return now, and the country is wise enough to listen to Obama.

geez, tis interesting, what a coincidence.

52. I have been on "Spring Break" with my 11 year old. I go back to work tomorrow.
I spent last week hanging with my daughter and her pals and it was just super. We did lunches out, shopping, our favorite bookstores and coffee shops, trips to galleries and parks. Oh--and Ice Cream! We slept in every day, and stayed up late every night.

Hubby booked the two of us into a lovely unhosted B & B down in the Shawnee National Forrest this last weekend and we visited several wineries, ate a huge amount of food, and relaxed in the private hot tub. We got home last night, ate dinner with my mom and collected our daughter (who by all accounts had an excellent weekend of her own...)

Truth be told, I had not planned this vacation at all. I was in my office and had been reviewing payroll records for my department prior to approving a vacation for somebody. SOMETHING happened (can't even tell you what it was now...) that had me stressed and one of my co-workers made the observation that maybe I should use some of my own vacation time. The more I thought about it, I agreed.

Once I looked at my own records I realized I have built up a huge amount of vacation and comp time--to the point that I could take over a month off and still have over a month of sick time in the bank! (I have not always been good about taking time off for myself, I guess...) I made a promise to myself that I'm gonna do better with that in the future--so maybe I caught the Mars conjunct Uranus spirit a little soon--I dunno.

Frankly, I'm not sure I'm gonna be ABLE to return to reality tomorrow when I go back to my office! We have had our share of stresses in there for a while now (it has been getting a bit better lately, to be fair) and I am happy to think it will feel even better when I get back!

56. Does this explain why our telephones are not working right?
We're having a terrible time with our telephone system at work. PLUS we've had cranky, panicky patients calling, PLUS our custodian decided not to work this weekend, but didn't bother to tell anyone, so I was stuck doing her work as well as mine.

Both my co-worker and I want to go home and bury ourselves under the covers!

57. I'm just tiptoeing along a fence.
I need to get a job but I don't want to *work*--I want to do something meaningful that feeds my spirit and that pays well. But sigh, I'm afraid the "tedium" for me is about to begin.

However, I'm trying to stay open to luminous possibilities . . . :)

64. The trick is
to see the "work" as something that is "meaningful". Spirit is not opposite one's avocation or job. Once they are seen as one, the tedium will dissipate. I know this is easy to say. My office is full of people who want to do something "meaningful"; that is being caused CLEARLY by Pluto in Capricorn since 1/25/08.

Resistance to working will make it worse. See the luminous possibilities within your work and see how you are "meant" to be there for the time being, and it will change. My clients have wonderful change after wonderful change AS SOON AS THEY LET GO of how they think it should manifest. And, the oppossite is true.

My 2 cents... I hope it works out for you. R :7

72. It isn't perfect but this does release some of the backed up energy
ground as deep in the earth as you can. I picture sending plant-like roots out my feet down to the core of the earth plus sending a cord of energy from my root chakra down to my earth star chakra (1 1/2 to 3 feet below the feet) then down to the core of the earth. Then I reinforce my aura boundary as I am porous tending to pick up everyone else's emotional and at times physical gunk. Then I picture opening each of my chakras up starting with the earth star either as glowing brighter or like a camera lens irising open. I include along with the big 7 chakras minors such as those in the major joints (knees, hips, shoulders, etc) thymus, diaphram, earth star, base of the skull and any others that I feel like using. Then I picture the energy coming in through my crown and then flowing though me out the chakras until I am glowing, lit up from within & my chakras blazing like lighthouse beacons, overall like something out of a sci-fi movie w/big special effects budget. I think of the energy as both blasting out the crud in my energy system and as burning off/transmuting the crud at the same time. or sometimes I just ground and say to myself Open Chakras! and it helps, maybe because I have been playing with this visulization for a while now. If I am home I will tone (make whatever noises seem to help the energy move) as well.

I tend to close down and block energy and emotional flow when upset like a turtle withdrawing to it's shell. This only makes the situation worse and the energy build up until it bursts out unexpectedly.

Sometimes when old anger rises up I picture myself as Medusa with my eyes like laserbeams that I then use to burn off/transmute the thoughtform like energy of bad habits. If I am going to be ticked I might as well try to find a way to use up the destructive energy constructively somehow
